Hello my name is David M. Atkinson. I was born in Vigo County. I was raised with 10 brothers and sisters, by our mother Norma Jean (Creasey) Atkinson. Our father was George F. Atkinson Sr. I married my Jr. High sweet heart Teresa G. (Michael) Atkinson. We have four loving children, and six beautiful grandchildren.|
My wife and I started doing Geneology about May of 2008. We enjoy looking up our ancestors in our spare time when we are not working. I have worked for the Vigo County school corp. for the past 26 years. We have took several photos of the grave stones, we would like to learn about the person within the stone. If I have taken any photos and you would like to contribute to contact me at my e-mail. Thank you David! Atkinson,Creasey,Mead,Waldon,Hyde,Romine.

Hi David! Can you please accept the edits I sent? Thanks!
Please accept the maiden name edit for Fannie Pierce. Her maiden name was Kellams and I wish to update her memorial. Thanks!

Hi, I had placed Charles & Edith from an interment record in Feb of 2012. Would you mind putting your photo on my site and deleting yours? This was brought to my attention by someone, as the spelling are different so you wouldn't have known it was already at Sugar Grove. If a relative, I will gladly delte mine. geraldine

Thank-you for linking George to his mother. I did a day's research on this family and learned things I didn't know. So happy to have George with his sisters and mother now. George's wife was Grandpa's first cousin.
I should write about George's life a little later on. Pinkie promise.
|fred russell||Rettie Bell Russell Michael|
Rettie's father was James Knox Polk Russell a civil war soldier. He was a brother to Preston Russell my great grandfather and also a civil war soldier. Four boys in the family and all served in the union army. Thank you for devoting so much time.

David, I would like to know if David C. Haun is David Chester Haun That was married to Clara Grindle, later divorced. They had a son named Joseph Haun.. John Chester Haun was born January 12, 1887 in Indiana.
Thank you for any information you can give me.
|Stephen Catlin||Ruben Ivey Catlin|
I know what you mean about wanting to know about people. I Love trying to figure out who they were.
Ruben Ivey Catlin, Ruben was the son of Chester A. Catlin in White County, Ill near Herald. Il. He was one of 18 children, my Grandfather was one of them. I have linked Ivey to his parents,(We all knew him as Ivey).
Thanks for putting the photo of his stone in so I was able to find him.
|shores||Beulah C. Wyatt at Roselawn Cemetery|
Thanks for the headstone photo, but curious that it says "Mother" above her name. Do you know if the cemetery has any info on file to confirm this? I believe on 2 Oct 1942 she married John Lester Belton in Vigo, IN, but I don't know of any children & why her maiden name on the headstone?

You did a nice job of adding a lot of info for Keith Newlin. I was wondering if you had any sort of connections to the Newlins.
|Liz ||Van Cleaves|
Please see the entries for Van Cleaves (name with a space) for other memorials. I put up photos on these older ones, and linked family.
