Bio

I have been happily married for 40 years. I have one daughter & 6 grandchildren.
I retired from a major communications company several years ago.
I love to sew & garden, but mostly genealogy. I have three dogs that I spend a lot of time with as well.
I became interested in genealogy in 2000 when my Dad's cousins' husband sent him a package full of data he had collected on our branch of the family. My Dad asked me to look it over and before I knew it I was hooked. The man who sent the package was Lloyd Smith, a major contributor to this website. We have since become friends and finally got to meet when he travelled from IL to San Diego to attend our Family Reunion in 2011.
I am an avid researcher and have a tree called "The Drury Tree" on ancestry.com web-site.
After a trip to IL where I photographed the graves of numerous ancestors I became interested in cemeteries.
I try to pass on information to Find A Grave as I obtain it. I have found so many people here and feel it is a very important researching tool.

****If you volunteer on Findagrave and decide you no longer want to maintain the memorials you manage, please transfer your records to someone who has an active account and willing to take over the records. I am one of many willing to take over records. This really will help reduce duplicates. It would also be a good idea to leave someone instructions on how to make these transfers should you go inactive without warning.***** Thank You (Borrowed from another FAG Contributor)
