Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hi,

I got into this research as a personal and final request for my mother just before she died. She had worked many years on the family history research and had done it with paper and pen. I promised her I would work to get it on the computer. Well you guessed it, I am now hooked as well.

I use FAG as a means of communicating to others the information I accumulate. I appreciate your postings on my memorials, but please, no death certificates. When I find a memorial created by someone else, and I have information that will enhance the memorial, I send a SAC to that person with the information. Each SAC I send is sent with love and a desire for valuable information to be shared. The only negative thing I have to say is that if you respond to me abusively, I will send your message, in its entirety, on to FAG, for appropriate action.

The surnames I am interested in are Breshears, Blackwell, English, Carter, Gantt, Tuckness, Arnold, Cooper, Hogg, Harden, Sherertz, McNair, Sims, Butler, Gallaher, etc.

I'll be happy to transfer records to you if you are relatives of those I have management of. Please let me know if you have corrections or additional information that you would like posted. The proper way to request these changes is not here on my profile page in the comments. To request changes of any kind, go to the memorial in question, click on the [edit] at the top right of the memorial and then select the first option. That will give me a link to the proper memorial. Changes requested here on my profile page will be deleted with no action.

I create memorials for anyone that has a headstone in the cemeteries I survey. If there is no date of death, I am uncertain as to whether they are deceased or not. As a result, I create the memorial and connect them to the spouse that shares the headstone.

I post pictures of the persons based on what I have available. If you have better pictures, feel free to post them and send me a note so I can decide if I want to remove the one I have posted.

I have no desire to amass high numbers in any of the categories that FAG tracks. I hope you don't either.

I have added a link to my local Genealogical Society here in Polk County. You will enjoy our site. It is not my personal web site.

RE: Maude Kirchoff
I'm sorry for the confusion but there is a problem.

The Maude Belle Kirchoff you have listed in the Union Christian Church cemetery here http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=71838879 either does not exist or is the same as Maude Belle Kirchoff Bryant you listed in the McGirk cemetery here http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=bryant&GSbyrel=all&GSdyrel=all&GSst=26&GScnty=1464&GScntry=4&GSob=n&GRid=30203491&df=all&

The two entries have the exact same dates, just different cemeteries. I don't think 2 women living to 104 with the exact same birth and death dates is possible.

I first want to thank you for all the extremely hard work you have done on Find A Grave.

I believe I am related to John Breshears, through Joseph W. Breshears, to John James Breshears, Claude Thomas Breshears, Elmo Lincoln Breshears. Are you related through this line? If so can you verify that I am tracking the correct lines. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks
Marilyn Shober, my number is 48404890 and my email can be found there.

Thanks again for all your hard work.

Ms. Thomas,

I am researching the crew of the USS Nashville CL-43 who were killed in the Kamikaze attack of December 13, 1944 during the Liberation of the Philippines. According to the WW II Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard Casualties, 1941-1945 list in Ancestry S2c McGee's Guardian was Mr. John M. Breashears of Wheatland and the request for a VA Headstone was signed for by a Mrs. John M. Breashears on October 11, 1948. My father was one of the Marines serving onboard the USS Nashville who was wounded but survived the attack. I have been researching this part of the USS Nashville's history since 2010. I am sharing my research with Steven Bustin, author of the book "Humble Heroes: How the USS Nashville CL-43 Fought WW II," whose father also served on the USS Nashville. Steve also maintains the website dedicated to the ship's history. Is there anything you can share in regards to S2c McGee?

Sincerely,
William R. Parker

If you find any of my memorials that are your people, let me know. Always glad to transfer to family members (if they aren't mine -- and I don't have any of the names you have mentioned, I don't think).

Is Lucy Brashers buried in the above cemetery perhaps one of your people? I have the memorial on her but she is not one of my people. I'm always on the lookout for family members of those who aren't my people.
