I am the daughter of George William Shilts and Sarah Ann Barber. I have been into genealogy for over 10 years and have found that some of the nicest people are those doing family tree research. I have surveyed many of the cemeteries in Independence County, AR, most of which can be found on the USGenWeb Tombstone Project page.

RE: Abraham Smith Keener
Hi Cindy,

I was recently in Grafton, WV and found Agnes Keener Wiseman Rexroad buried at Harmony Grove Cemetery along with first husband Luther Wiseman. I have added a pic to their Find A Grave pages and will transfer them over to you. Sorry the pic isn't better but at the time of day we were the stone was in full sun.

I have also added a pic of the stone of Marshall and Martha Wiseman who are right in the next row by Luther and Agnes.

I am related to both the Keeners and Wisemans so was happy to account for them all and add them to my tree as well.

Do you have any information as to the location of the Wiseman Cemetery down there? I have a general idea due to a Carder family map that I have, but have not been able to locate the cem as yet. If you have any information, I would greatly appreciate it. I do believe Marshall's parents George Wiseman and Ealon Carder are buried out there. I am also related to the Carders.

RE: Abraham Smith Keener
Cindy,
Do you know if Agnes died in West Virginia? I am going down there soon and could check out the library cem records to see if I can find her. Just let me know.
Thanks!

RE: Abraham Smith Keener
Hi Cindy,
Thanks so much for the info on Agnes. I have added her to Abraham and Elizabeth's bios. If someone has a Find A Grave page for her they could link her to them as well. Thanks again and happy hunting!

Wood Cemetery - Jeremy Wood
Cindy,

Thank you so very much for taking the time to visit Wood Cemetery, photograph and post Jeremy's memorial stone here.

I deeply appreciate all you do and have done to preserve the history and legacy of our families in that area.

Blessings.

Veda McClusky
I just found a second Find A Grave Memorial for Veda. It was posted on the 15th of July 2011 a few months before yours was posted. Her last name is spelled differently, but it is the same person (McCluskey).
You wil probably want to delete this memorial.
