Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have put a great deal of time into creating many of these memorials. I am continually researching the memorials that I've created and often find more things to add. If you have some information you'd like added, let me know.

Please read the Find a Grave policy to see whether your request qualifies a transfer. If it falls within the guidelines, then, please use the EDIT button on the top right of the person's memorial page when you want to request a transfer since it provides me with the link to that memorial.

Any non-direct relatives (aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.) will not be transferred. The goal is not to "own" every memorial of those to whom you are related. The ultimate goal should be to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it.

I am more than happy to have anyone add their personal photos of people on a memorial. However, I discourage adding death certificates and genealogy material in printed form out of a book.

J. W. and William Redd
J. W. and William Redd are listed in the online cemetery listings as being buried in two cemeteries, Trevat Cemetery and Calvary Cemetery. You created Find A Grave memorials for both of them in Calvary Cemetery. J.W. supposedly lived and died in Trevat. Hoping you can help me figure this out.

RE: Ola Keller
Thanks again, Donna. I was surprised to discover there are many, many Ola Potters and Kellers out there -- guess it was a popular first name back then. I had more evidence to offer but I'm glad that was enough. Shirley #48364621

RE: Potter
Donna -
You are too kind!!! Actually, I intend to research them as thoroughly as I can. My grandmother died when my dad was 13 years old (and his father died when he was 4) so I'm extremely curious about this part of the family tree. It really will make it a lot easier for me now since they are brothers and sister, aunts and uncles, and I can make my changes instantaneously now.
Thank you again. Shirley

RE: Alvin Thomas Oquin
Hi Donna,

Thanks for your message. I've spent a fair amount of time studying O'Quinns around the country. The only ones I have found that dropped the apostrophe are some African Americans in Mississippi and Louisiana, so I'm very interested in this. The obituary is not good evidence-many many O'Quinn/O'Quin obits are misspelled-that is, the apostrophe was dropped mistakenly by the obit writer or the newspaper. Can you please tell me how you know the stone is wrong and that he spelled his name without the apostrophe?I really would appreciate it if you will point me to the source-

Thanks
Anna

I got the message that you accepted the edit to O'Quin from Oquin but when I checked, which I always do, the name is still Oquin. Is this a glitch in the Find A Grave system that I need to report?
