When I was 12 years old, my great aunt gave me a family group sheet with photos & I was hooked. That was 50 years ago & I've been working on my personal family genealogy since then.|
About thirty years ago, I started updating the descendants of Azariah Crandall Jr. He died in 1825, in Clark county Indiana. He had 17 children, 11 of which were sons. In just a few years, all of Southern Indiana was littered with Crandalls. It was very difficult keeping the families straight. One of these days I hope to publish my research or at least give the information to local libraries.
The memorials, that aren't my personal relatives, come from newspapers, funeral homes, death certificates, cemetery census records & military records.I am also working on imputing a cemetery in Northern Arizona.
Otherwise, I live with all my dogs & cats in the Phoenix area. I breed Shih Tzus & do kitten rescue. Sometimes I get very busy bottle feeding or with a sick little one. Please have patience with me.
If you have a correction, addition or family links you'd like me to make, please let me know. Click on the edit tab of the memorial & make your suggestion, I'd also appreciate it, if when you post a photo on one of my memorials, that you let me know about it.
I recently had a negative encounter with a person on this site. I am no longer willing to transfer memorials I have created or receive emails. I'm really sorry about this.
I will transfer within the guidelines set out by Find A Grave though:
FROM FIND A GRAVE:
Simply having someone in your family tree is not grounds for a management transfer request. With hundreds of thousands of contributors, we have many overlapping family trees and it would be impossible for all contributors to manage their entire tree.
Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Explain your relationship in the request! Any non-direct relatives (aunts, uncles, cousins, etc) are not required to be transferred. Keep in mind that the original contributor may also be related to the memorial and may not make the transfer.

|rwy||RE: Arline Parker|
OK, I see that now. That is the Arline Parker they gave me when I submitted it. I didn't look close because who would have thought there were two Arline Parkers with the first name spelled that way. Since they did not give me the right one the first time I will submit her and her husband. I know there is a photo of his marker and maybe she is close by. Sorry for the mistake.

I completed your photo request for Arline Parker. She is next to Raymond R. Parker. There was no memorial for Raymond, so I created one and transferred it to you.

|M.L. Walker||Opal McKain|
Actually Opal was married to Nordurfth and married Woody McKain after Nordurfth died. Thanks.
|Henry Parrish Jr.||RE: Dora Crandall|
Thank you. I will have to go get a copy of her death certificate then.
The cemetery was fine, but the fields were FILLED with rusting old buses, farm equipment, etc. Also poor captive animals standing in piles of their own poop. It may be that the owner got too old to deal with it, but it was shocking. I expect it is very different now.
|Linda Claxton||RE: Claude Crandall Memorial|
You're very welcome.
|Henry Parrish Jr.||Dora Crandall|
You have her maiden name as Paige, where did you get this information from? I ask only because on the death certificate for her son William, her husband Abram gives her maiden name as Langley. So I am confused.
|Linda Lyons||RE: Reed Crandall|
My husband is great-grandson of Mary/Polly Crandall Lofton (Azariah, Reed, Azariah..) I put up picture of her and the kids that was in her granddaughter's papers. We cover lots of same people in and around Horner's Chapel.
When we were in RI the whole place was full of acres of junk--big metal junk--and neglected animals standing in filth. Amazing that the 17th century house is standing and that it was then still owned by a Crandall. I have been told that he gave it to an Indian tribe to prevent it from being developed.
|David Oxford||Re: Mary Collins Dailey|
Linda - I sent a correction to you via EDIT, you must not have received it: I submitted an erroneous mother for Mary Daily. Should have been Catherine Elizabeth Foster Montgomery #25651679. Per Vigo County Marriage Records online at public library (available to all), Mary's mother married Frank Collins, then Donald Rollings and lastly, George Montgomery.
If you would, please correct..., and forgive me :)
