Bio Photo We work as a team: Russian-Danish family living in London and currently working in the Middle East. County-keepers for England. Being foreigners in the countries we live in, we are very interested in all Russians and Danes who found their last resting place away from their home countries. We will be grateful for any comments, advice and links to memorials. Please add FAG (Find A Grave) when e-mailing

Burying Ground of Liberton
I am hoping you can help me. I have a burial registration for an ancestor of mine who died Jan 21, 1855. On the death registration it says buried Burying Ground of Liberton, certified by George Wallace, gravedigger.
Would you know what burying ground this might be? The name would be Alexander Marr who I would like to put a memorial up for, if I can find where he is buried.
Thanks for your assistance,
Sharon

RE: St Columba Churchyard
*You* contacted me suggesting that the name of the church was incorrect. I have no idea why. S.

RE: St Columba Churchyard
Actually no, it *is* St Columba Churchyard in St Columb Major, if you look at the church website. I took the name from the photographs I took on the spot, but none of the ones with the name were clear enough to post on Find A Grave. Thank you for your message.

RE: Marie
That I couldn't say...in America we have a Statute of Limitations that would cover such a situation but I have no idea about there. I encountered nothing about that aspect of the matter and admit that I hadn't thought of it.

RE: Marie
Well, I thought I got it from Wikipedia, though it's not in the English version. Maybe Spanish or Russian. I know I would have checked for something that unusual in more than one place. A site called Billion Graves has the information but they may have gotten it from me.

If you have alternative information please let me know.

Thanks,

Bob
