Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born, raised & currently reside in Scott Co., Iowa. My maternal line has lived here since the mid-1850s, settling originally in Buffalo, Scott Co., Iowa (Rauch & Reinhard). If you have family in Buffalo, I probably have info on them. My maternal Grandmother's family were from Denmark. My Dad's Bullock family settled in Rehoboth, Massachusetts about 1644, and migrated to NY, MI, MN, IA, MO, CO, CA. Other paternal lines were in colonial Virginia to KY, IN, IL, IA, MO. I am a descendant of the Germanna Colonists 1717 Colony.

Patience and Hezekiah
I thought that I should add that I descend from, Mariah Bullock b. 1809 in New York, and, Daniel Dutcher, b. 1805 in New York.

RE: Patience Bullock
Hello. Are you referring to, Patience Irons, b. 1779 in Rhode Island, who married, Hezekiah Bullock, b. 1781 in Massachusetts?

They are my 5th great grandparents, on my mother's side.

Do you have a public tree somewhere that I can see? I have one at If you're interested in seeing it I can direct you to it if you're a member there, or send you an email invitation to visit if you're not a member.

RE: Brockway & Jaquith
Hi Lynnea - Yes, Ella Jaquith (1859-1878) was married to Norman Van Hyning (1851-1912) and they are both buried in Lakewood Cemetery in Barberton. I live in Medina County and have taken several photographs of the Jaquith and Van Hyning headstones in that cemetery. Ella died from complications during childbirth when she was only 19 years old. I don't have a lot of family history on the Jaquith family but I do have quite a bit on the Van Hynings. I don't seem to have any Brockways related to these families in my tree. - Amy Van Hyning

Avery/ Jacquith/ Brockway connections
Hi Lynnea,

I checked through my Avery records... found a couple people named Brockway, but no connections that I could see to your Brockways. No Jacquiths or Jaquiths either. I was able to find your Brockways on Find A Grave... I even sent through an update to link Aure to her parents.

It is not often I come across a Bullock. My line contains Bullock's from South Carolina, Georgia and Alabama. Got any Bullock's from those areas in your lineage?

RE: Mary Ware Memorial# 34438772
I have added "Mary" as a nickname. Didn't realize the dates were those for Ida/Mary when I rejected your correction. Please keep the corrections coming.

RE: Henry & Lucretia Dencker
Lucretia Vlerbaum Dencker's obit reads: born in the state of New Jersey during the month of August 1826 and died of pneumonia at the family residence 3 miles east of Brighotn, at 3am, Friday February 2nd, in the 56th year of her age. On the 30th day of May 1885 she was united in marriage with Henry Dencker also of New Jersey but a native of Germany.

The obit does say that she is buried at Brighton Cemetery, which is also the Catholic Cemetery and City Cemetery. It is now known as Hillcrest Cemetery.
