Bio and Links
Bio Photo Most of what my daughter and I have added is not a descendant. We do this for others so they may find their past plus I enjoy doing this. I have been working on my family's past since my sister had to do a high school project some 40 years ago. Maybe someday I will add to my branches.
Our own lines takes us mainly to the Northeast; New York, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Maryland and Canada and overseas.
Please feel free to use our photos in your genealogy documentation!
PS.. I am looking for this cemetery in the above picture. I think it's in the NY/VT area but definetly not sure about that

RE: Akin Douglass Boardman Cemetery NY
It wasn't so much how she died...apoplexy......As I read the census and her death notice the following had to have happened this way............If you send me your email address I can elaborate more/nut shell here. Aiken died first, then Jane. Jane was my 2nd GGrandmother. She lived and died either with or near my Grandmother in Ticonderoga. Died in Nov., there were no cars, so my GGrandfather put her body in a horse drawn wagon and pulled her body to Whitehall over those mountains from Ticonderoga in a cold Nov. and saw she had a decent burial. George Blanchard was a decent and loving man to do this. It has to have taken him a couple of days to do this. Just interesting how they got around back then.

Wayne was my fiance at the time of his death. If it's possible, I would like to have his memorial transferred to me for maintenance.

I note some writing at the bottom of the head stone and was wondering what it said. If you have a better picture that I can read the top words, that would be helpful.

Thanks. Mary Vincent

RE: Father McIncrow's Statue
To the best of my knowledge, yes. This was installed in 1897, or at least that was when it was cast.

I came across a document that said it was signed "Lawrie '97."

I have no reason to doubt the authenticity of it. I study Lee Lawrie, who made a number of grave memorials over his lifetime.

Is this no longer there? I was surprised to see the Celtic Cross you photographed, and not the statue, but of course, I am in Texas and I can only assume that you are not too far from upstate New York.

I am anxious to know what you find.

Best Regards,
Greg
