I am retired from US Army and retired from US Civil Service. Currently serving as Alabama Cemetery Preservation Alliance Represenative for Elmore County Alabama. I have been interested in finding the location Revolutionary Soldiers and Confederate Soldiers buried in Elmore, Coosa, and Tallapoosa Counties. To date I have located over 1500 soldiers buried in the tri-county area.|

Billie-Thank you for adding my 2nd Great Grandfather's grave to the site. (James Z Alford). As you can see, he was a Confederate Soldier and was wounded (lost an arm and an eye) during the war. He was on leave when the war ended recovering from his injuries.
Again, thank you for taking the time to honor him.
|Judith Swann||Little Berry Spain|
On Memorial# 68190016, Mary Hannah Spain is listed as a spouse of Little Berry Spain. She is his daughter. His wife is Elizabeth Smith, who is buried in the Spain Cemetery with him.
Thank you for all your work on findagrave.com.

|K Dye||Parents of Walter Terry Colquitt|
I was trying to find the names of his mother and father for my family tree. I know that this is the father of my great grandmother, Laura Octavia Colquitt Gantt. I have found a genology online that lists two Walter Terry Colquitts and they were half brothers with their father being Alfred Holt Colquitt. I would appreciate it if you could confirm or provide any additional information that you might know of.

Thank you, Billie, I appreciate you checking on this for me. I now have Henry F. (Franklin) Wall, (my G-Grand Uncle) in Claud with his brother (my G-Grandfather) PVT. George Thomas Wall (33951203). Now, if I could just find my G-Grandmother, Virginia A. Jackson Wall, I would celebrate.

I do know where it is, but that's about it, although I am sure I have been through there in my lifetime.

Billie, in searching for my Wall family (from Elmore County), I found two memorials (different cemetery) with the same initials and birth/death dates. One is H F Wall #32944030 and the other is Henry Franklin Wall #32887879. They appear to have two different headstones and I just want to make sure I have the correct cemetery information for my Henry Franklin Wall. Thank you much!
|Pat Hagan||Pvt Edward Hagans memorial # 8529172|
I am pleased to see your memorial for my great grandfather. I had no idea he was a Civil War veteran, as was his son William Carter Hagans, my grandfather.
Can you share your sources of information on Edward? Any information at all will be most helpful. My cousins and I have been searching for information on him and correctly identifying his ancestral lines.
Please let me know if you have anything you can share.
Also, are there markers for him or for Gilly Tankersley Hagans?
Thanks for your assistance, and thanks for your Find-A-Grave contributions.
