Please do not send newspaper or funeral home obituaries to be posted on my memorials. This is against Find-a-Grave Guidelines, and it violates copyright laws. Additionally, most obituaries include the names of survivors, and living individuals should never be named on any genealogy website. Instead, use the edit tab to add data from the obituary such as birth/death dates and places, and to link parents and spouses of the deceased.
Regarding Burial Unknown memorials
I do not link to memorials where the burial location is unknown. There are many sites online where you can list your ancestors, their dates of birth and death, and their relationships. But this is FIND-a-GRAVE. It is for the recording of GRAVES. If an individual's GRAVE has not been FOUND, then he/she should not be listed here until a GRAVE is FOUND.
Regarding Out-of-Guidelines Transfers:
I will no longer honor these. I have tried being a good sport about this, but I've too often fallen for the "I was very close to this cousin of my mother's" ploy. Then after the transfer, they do nothing and add nothing. So I now transfer ONLY, per the Guidelines:
