I have been doing genealogy research 20 + years. I have spent many hours searching for family graves in cemeteries all over the country and have taken many photo's of headstones. Find A Grave has been a great site to add memorials for my family and friends and a great source of informaion in my genalogy.|

|Carol Guinn Jenkins||Higgs in Franklin County IN|
Hi, I noticed that you gave family information for a Charlie Higgs buried in Franklin County IN. I am searching for parents of my Sarah Elizabeth Higgs who married Isaac Blades and moved from South Carolina to Franklin County IN. Do you know anything about her or do you know someone who maybe able to help me? Sarah Elizabeth Higgs Blades died in Bartholomew County IN as early as 1834 so must have been in Franklin County IN at a very early date---probably 1810-1830. Their daughter Sarah Blades married there in 1817. I believe that Sarah Elizabeth Higgs had a brother named Truman Higgs. Thanks for any help or leads. Carol

Thanks so very much for transferring Fredericka to my account.

You are so welcome. Their stone had Lichen all over it and had to scrape some off to be able to read it and it's badly deteriorated. We had a hard time finding it at first and we knew we were in the right area. I'm glad I got the photo when I did. They all seem to be deteriorating so fast, I don't know if it's acid rain or the lichen, it's all over the old headstones. I'm glad I could help.

Shirley, Would you be so kind as to add the photo of Ira's family that you have on his father's site. I just found Ira today in Abilene cemetery. Thanks so much, Richard. Is Ira in the photo?
