You meet all kinds of people on Findagrave... most of whom are helpful, kind, and polite. I like quality work on each memorial. Just spending a few minutes a day on Findgrave can provide a great deal of genealogical input. Thank you for your co-operation! If I can assist anyone, please contact me. |
My father, David Kennedy, was an avid genealogical researcher, so you could say, this was one of my inherited interests. He started his search in 1959 after meeting then Senator John F. Kennedy in Washington, DC. He asked my father if we were Catholic or Protestant Kennedys, after which Senator Kennedy suggested that since we were not Catholic, we must have entered the US via Northern Ireland. And the search continues...
Some of my direct lines are Kennedy, Clayton, Merritt, Head, Prothro, Crouch, Wright, Goodwin, Bledsoe, Breazeale, Smith, Guyton, Moorhead, Kirksey, Wyatt, Griffin, Richardson, Meyer, Johnston, Lott, Knox, Gaston, Barnett, Ray, Sharp, Alverson. I have been working on my genealogy since the 1990s. I always try to give credit to those who have done genealogical research ... just a very common courtesy.... Thanks y'all.

Thank you so much for sending me the info on Oaklawn Cemetery so I could eliminate one of my unknowns! I loved the side story about your grandmother and Mr Argoe!!
Have a Happy Easter...Robin

I like the editing features for everything except the links because, once I accept the info everything disappears so I can't look at the links I've made. I get a number of mistakes on linking and sometimes it's obvious by comparing the dates of birth of the parent to the child. If I get a chanced to inspect what I've just entered, I have an opportunity to catch the mistake (although I miss it a lot of things too). So I guess I prefer to cut and paste the memorial numbers. But what I love is the feature where people can send place of birth/death. For some reason, I don't like entering that information. It is especially annoying when someone sends me the state and town but leaves out the county. That causes me to have to do a search or request they send the county. I get so many edits and some people don't understand how tedious it is if not sent properly. but most people on here do great and send it perfectly. By the way, I don't mind people sending me mistakes like you did earlier. We all make mistakes--no big deal. I appreciate the research and effort you make, thanks!

You are more than welcome. I thought the
name Breazeale is not real common you might like to see them, I'll be glad to transfer them to you if you like.
I added 5 on the Woodbine-Jefferson Cemetery in Jackson County the other day.
