RE: Headley J McClain
Thank you so much for this info. I can't tell you how much I appreciate it. I had the wife's name as April and now with your help I know it is Arbie. You went the extra mile for me and I am thankful. Bette Ward

RE: Mart Geise & India Hart Geise
Both Tempie and Adah are buried in the Florence City Cemetery. I'm uncertain where Ester was buried - I think perhaps in Mobile where she lived most of her adult life. However, she may have requested to be buried in Tuscumbia, near her parents. That is still an unanswered question for me.

Thank you for your dedication to this project. I appreciate all that you do to help people like myself to research our genealogy.

Mart Geise & India Hart Geise
The information for both Mart Geise and his wife, India Hart Geise, lists just one of their children: Adah Geise Crow. There were actually 3 other daughters: Tempie Geise Moore, Esther Geise Hurst, and Jackie Geise who died at about 12 years of age of scarlet fever. These are my relatives. I am the grandson of Tempie Geise Moore and the great-grandson of Mart and India Geise.

Thanks for the photo. If u happen to be in this area again and think about it, would you mind letting me know the names and dates, etc on the headstone. I am not sure I am reading the info correctly due to the arrangements and shadows. There are 2 spellings of this name McLain and McClain and I cannot make it out. Is the wife's name April?

Transfer requests
Hi Oliver,
My name is Debora Nichols (#46605948)and I, like most everyone on findagrave.com, am researching my family (Parker/Rogers/Hill/Taylor/Lamb). I was happy to find you had posted memorials for my aunt and uncle and was wondering if you would transfer them to me. Their names are Altie Rogers #76601317 and Arcie Rogers #76601287.

Thank you for all your work in posting memorials. I don't think I would have ever found Aunt Altie and Uncle Arcie if I had not found them here. I had not seen them since I was a child and that was a "few" years ago.

Thanks a lot.

Sincerely,
Debora Hill Nichols
