Lives are commemorated - deaths are
Recorded - families are reunited -
Memories are made tangible - and love is
Undisguised. This is a cemetery

Communities accord respect, families
Bestow reverence, historians seek
Information and our heritage is thereby

Testimonies of devotion, pride and
Remembrance are carved in stone to pay
Warm tribute to accomplishments and to
The life - not death - of a loved one.
The cemetery is homeland for family
Memorials that are a sustaining source of
Comfort to the living.

A cemetery is a history of people - a
Perpetual record of yesterday and a
Sanctuary of peace and quiet today. A
Cemetery exists because every life is worth
Loving and remembering - always.

Birth Information for R.A. Venable

I am trying to tie R. [Robert] A. Venable into my family tree. I found him in the 1860 Census along with his wife Diantha, with both listed as being born in Virginia. However, the 1860 US Census lists their ages as 54 and 48 respectively. The census also lists their son, Charles M. Venable, age 8.

If I believe the Census, Robert A. Venable would have been born in 1804 or 05, not 1787 as shown on his memorial site on

I'm wondering where you got the birth and death dates for R.[obert] A. and Diantha T. Venable. Could the Census have their ages wrong by as much as 20 years?

Would you have any information about R.A. Venable's parents?

Thanks in advance if you can share any information.

Hi Christy,
Thanks for the info on adding a headstone picture of Kathryn Capper.
I appreciate your time and effort but ask that you remove it (Seems I can't remove it myself).
My mother-in-law isnít actually buried with Robert. Her ashes were spread on the Oregon coast.
Thanks again for your effort and for removing it.

RE: Re:Anna Nason
Great to see the year 1887 for Anna Nason, but I still think it should be March 13 that she died (which is the 2 or 3 days shy of 1 year)

RE: Beryl Geneva Ater Guenther
Yes, if they paid for one and it was never installed then the cemetery needs to get it installed finally.

I stopped at Inglewood Park Friday afternoon and looked and no grave marker for her. I tried to feel down through the grass in spot next to her husband but could not feel if marker was buried or no marker at all. I took a couple more pictures. Either you or the family should contact the cemetery and have them check. Another time I had inquired about a missing marker at Inglewood Park and it had turned out that the marker had gotten buried under the grass. The grounds staff at cemetery uncovered it so I could photograph it. Let me know what is found out.

Thank you for letting me know about the newer photo. I changed order for Caterina plus added some additional information. I hope you don't mind, but I added your photo to Frank's memorial.

I haven't forgotten, just haven't had a chance to get there. I will check. If I don't see it then the cemetery office will check. I notified them one time about a missing marker and turns out that it had gotten buried over time under the grass. They unburied it.

Hi Cristy, Thanks for noticing the duplicate entry. I totally missed that yesterday, when I linked his wife to the entry. I am not related to them, so instead of me copying all your info to my bare bones entry, I deleted my entry and linked his wife to yours. Thanks for all the work you've done for find-a-grave!
