It really bothers me to see unmarked graves and graves with names but no dates; makes me want to find their families; some I do, some I don't. I wish I had enough money to replace all the monuments that need replaced and add those who don't have a marker! I would happily do so. After being in some of the cemeteries and seeing how many of the monuments are due to environmental conditions, etc; it has encouraged me to photograph and get as much documentation as is there because in future years; at least what is there now will be known and people able to see on findagrave.
Mark Cook a cousin, Jan W Smith, a cousin and I have been working together on our genealogy and others the past few years. Since Jan is in the area he does a lot of photographs and Mark travels once or twice a year to do cemetery photo's also. I have taken many myself as well.
I've been working on our family genealogy for what seems a life time! I started as a youngster with my grandparents, aunts, uncles going to cemeteries taking information and visiting relatives and friends taking information. I am from Washington County, love it and miss it; however, don't like the changes!! But, it is still my home though I don't live there or get home often. I have two sons and two grandchildren and have been able to pass the genealogy "bug" to them and hope they will continue when I am no longer able or around to do so. Mary

I'm very worried about Mary. It's been so long since she's logged in, and that's just not like her. Do any of you know how to get in touch with her or her family other than her email address? She isn't answering that either. I've asked family members I have in Washington County AL, where she grew up, but no one there has heard from her lately. Tonya

Yvonne got in touch with me also and I corrected her suppositions.
Hope everything is OK with you. It's been a while since we have been in touch.
I sent you some edits for several Stokley graves in Edgar Cemetery. I would appreciate if you would review them when you get a chance. Thank you for all of your efforts in helping family members find the final resting places of loved ones. It takes a great deal of time to do this for no payment other than "thank you". ~Beverly

"FindaGrave has added a new editing function to all members. Check the 'Edit' tab on your profile page for pending edit requests for your memorials."
You currently have one or more such edit requests on your profile page. Most edit requests are no longer sent from FindaGrave with an email notice to the memorial creator/current manager. You have to go to your profile page and check the Edit tab to see the requests for additions or changes to your memorials.
Please check your profile page so that the requested edits can be processed. FindaGrave has made this change to facilitate rapid handling of multiple edit requests.
Mary, I sent you an edit request for A B Jarman, Sr and his wife Alice M Jarman. You have their names as Jarmon and some of the family could not find them. Would you be so kind as to correct the spelling of their last name and also link them as husband and wife. Thanks so much. Mr. Jarman is my grandfather's brother.

Could you provide some form of verification that the four children of Mary are actually James Blount's children?
At the time James & Mary married, Blount was 68 and Mary was 20. James officiated his own wedding to her! It sounds like a marriage of convenience to me - what other reason would Mary have to marry that old coot?
It is more likely that there was 'something going on' between Josiah Everett and Mary Richardson(who grew up together in Washington, AL and are close in age).
James Blount would have been 74 when their son Jack (my relative) was conceived in 1869. Josiah & Mary married soon after James' death. The other children seem to have switched back to the Blount name after the 1880 census - except Jack (Isaac Jackson).
I notice you aren't really answering anybody, but your statements on several pages changes the entire bloodline of the Everett side of my family and I would like some corroboration, if possible.
