Bio and Links
Bio Photo I'm very much hooked on genealogy. Now that I'm retired I am willing to help others and fill photo requests for my area. This site has been a great help to me in finding information and photos and it's time for me to help others.

I'm currently photographing cemeteries in Hubbard and Eastern Becker county, Minnesota.
During the winter months I have been looking up obituaries to add to memorial pages that appear in the old Park Rapids Enterprise. If you are looking for an obituary you can email me but please make the request during the winter months.

I will add to, change, delete, and Correct any Memorial I've added.
I will be happy to Transfer Memorials according to FAG Guidelines but I will consider other transfers on an individual basis. Please State your relationship when asking for a transfer. I will not transfer Bulk name requests.

Please use the EDIT tab and SAC to ask for a transfer or to have me correct or add information and state your relationship to the person when asking for a transfer.

No need to ask permission if you want to use my photos for ancestry and personal use, but I do appreciate credit given to me for taking them.

Please do not take my photos and upload them to another page on Find a Grave. If you need a photo added to a different page just ask and I will add it.

If you want the Photo's for resale, for profit, permission is denied.

In the event of my death or my becoming inactive for a long period of time I would like all my memorial pages passed on to my son DR Wangen #47374156.

RE: Detals of Lucy Maude Maskell Cripps
Hi Joan
Thank you for your reply. Here is the link to a copy of Lucy's birth certificate (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/98476365/tmp/BirthCertificateOfLucyMaudMaskell001.jpg), which confirms the date and place of her birth.
Just to clarify, her bieth date is Twelfth April 1870, and the place is Commonside, Kingswinford, Staffordshire.

I am still working on the siblings and children, so will message you another time regarding them.

Margaret

Detals of Lucy Maude Maskell Cripps
Hello Joan

Thank you so much for the Photographs of Lucy's headstone. You do such a good service. I was so excited when I found this information

I am the granddaughter of Thomas Percival Maskell, Lucy's youngest brother, and have done extensive research into this family.

Please would you make a few corrections to the information accompanying the photos.

In the following corrections you will note that I give Lucy's birthdate as 12 April instead of 11 April. I have a copy of her birth certificate, so I can be exact in that date.

1. Under the heading 'Rites' the second paragraph should read - Lucy Maud Maskell was born April 12, 1870 in Commonside, Kingswinford, Staffordshire, England, the daughter of Lucy Law and Charles Bewick Maskell.

2. Under the heading 'children', there should also be Gladys M Cripps (1896 -)

3. Under the heading 'siblings' there should also be:-
Ida Beatrice Maskell Pritchard (1877 - 1954)
Clara May Maskell Kingston (1880 - 1966)
Mary Annie Elizabeth Maskell Harrop (1882-abt 1955)
William Bewick Maskell (1885 - 1968)

Once again, many thanks for all you are doing.

Thanks & a question
Hi
You're doing a great job! Thank you Joan Edmonson! Is it possible that you've been specially interested in those people you've presented with long texts? In that case you probably have them in your own genealogical database and possibly they are your relatives - as it happens they are mine too. Today I became a free member here, after finding great information about my distant relatives, the Harvala family (Jacob ja Jemina's family originated from Ylivieska in Finland).
Are you connected to that family and in that case even to my country, Finland?

Best regards
ES

Adding a Picture
Joan,
Thank you for adding the information on my father Lloyd Robert Weeks. But a small correction needs to be made he is not buried in California. His ashes were scattered over the Pacific ocean. And I would like to add a Picture of him to the information as well. Can you please let me know how to do that. You can contact me directly via email.

Thank you

St Matthew's / Butterfield City Cemetery
Hi Joan,

I was down in Butterfield, Minnesota a few weeks ago and took a bunch of pictures of my relatives headstones and posted them to the St. Matthew's page. I just found out today talking to my cousin Mable (Wallem) Olson that our relatives are actually buried in the Butterfield city cemetery. When you drive in the last driveway there everything on the left hand side is St. Matthew's cemetery, everything on the right is the Butterfield city cemetery. That means the Wallem's that you have listed in St Matthew's actually belong in the city cemetery. Just thought you would like to know that. If you would like to transfer them to me I would gladly take care of them, Richard & Taletta are my great-great grandparents and Rosa is my great aunt.

Thanks

Mike Wichelman
