My name is Jerri, and I live in Thurston Co., Washington. Genealogy has been my hobby for almost 40 years. I discovered Find A Grave during a recent project for the DAR, and what a great way to help other genealogists and researchers! This is a perfect opportunity for anyone to document those deteriorating tombstones in their area, as well as helping others who live too far away to do it themselves!
The project I helped with was tasked with locating and documenting the burial place of 767 very special DAR members, who were actually daughters of Revolutionary War Patriots. We found almost all of them, and they are grouped in virtual cemeteries by the state in which they were buried.

Jerri thank you for Contacting me about Moses Kluttz. I have put him In the right cemetery. Thanks Carol
Thanks for doing the links so promptly. I'm trying to get the links between the Gilbert, Field, and Holly families made and bio information added. All the memorial managers have been a big help

I just left a piece on Mary Cobb that I came across. Thought you'd be interested. It's difficult to read. Let me know if you'd like me to type it out.
|Francine York||RE: Caroline Farrand Hight|
These two Norridgewock, Maine cemeteries are a bit confusing by their names. They both have a view of the Kennebec River.
If you check the maps provided for both cemeteries, you will see their relationship to each other; they are less than 1/2 mile apart. One is on one side of the river, the second is on the other. I, too, made an error of the names of these cemeteries to their location.
Caroline Farrand Hight, memorial # 32969609, is
absolutely in the "Old Oak" cemetery, buried with her husband, Hanson Hight. I do not know if this cemetery has changed names over the years or not. Town of Norridgewock does not have a sign posted at these two cemeteries with their names on them.
I also reviewed some information I have on this
DAR "Real daughter". It , too, says that she is buried at the Riverview Cemetery, but that is wrong. I'll have to check into seeing how to get this change.
Hope this helps, it's confusing no doubt.
I live about five miles from both of these cemeteries. I'll have to check with the town office.

I just added some photos for DAR "Real Daughter" Lydia Rollins, wife of James Wixson, buried in Augusta, Maine. She is listed as being in Bien Venue Cemetery... but I think it might be just south of the avenue that separates it from Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
You might want to re-arrange the sort order of the photos.
I also added the death record and a "virtual" DAR "Real Daughter" plaque for Nancy (Allen)(Simmons) Warren. (I based it on her sister Hannah's plaque) I still haven't found her gravestone in Canton, Maine. She is likely buried with her first husband, Calvin Simmons and perhaps also her brother, Lorenzo Dow Allen. If we can find one of them, we will probably find them all.
I have been finding a lot of War of 1812 soldiers now that we have that Bicentennial coming up. I have made a few "virtual cemeteries' to try to keep track of them.
Sincerely, Tim Cooper
