Bio and Links
Bio Photo Family research has been a part of my life for over 30 years. I do volunteer work at the LDS Family History Center located in my neighborhood even though I am not Mormon. I call myself the gentile librarian. I live on the west side of Houston in Katy. I was born in Waco, Texas and go there every few months to be with family. Many of my family members are buried in the Robinson Cemetery south of Waco going back to my great-great-grandmother. Growing up in Robinson, a farming community at the time, was a wonderful experience.

At the age of fifteen my parents and I moved to Texarkana, Texas. I completed high school and junior college in Texarkana. While attending UT my parents moved back to Robinson. I did six months of active duty in the Marine Corps and five and a half years in the reserve program. After completing the six months active duty, I moved to Houston, TX to seek my fortune. I would have to say my wife, children and grandchildren are my fortune. I am happily married and retired and have eight grandchildren which add joy to my life. If you think I can help you, feel free to contact me.

If you have any corrections or additions to a memorial, please let me know. If you would like for me to transfer a memorial, please let me know.

RE: Memorial 101275510
Bob, Thanks for getting back to me. I never hear from anyone. My people were in Indianola and Victoria. I grew up in Kenedy. On E.J. Hogan's death certificate, Texas Deaths 189-1976, La Salle is listed as his birth place. His older sister was also born in La Salle. The Hogan family went through the 1875 and 1886 hurricanes. They moved to Victoria following the destruction of Indianola. E.J. had an older brother, William, who moved to Galveston following the 1886 hurricane. Yes, he went survived the 1900 Galveston hurricane which killed so many people.

Here is the information on La Salle, Texas, from the Handbook of Texas Online.

LA SALLE, TEXAS (Calhoun County). La Salle, a coastal community six miles south of Indianola, was established in the 1840s. It was probably named for the French explorer René Robert Cavelier, Sieur de La Salle. Dr. Levi Jones was a land agent for lots in La Salle. On February 11, 1850, he secured a charter for a railway linking Matagorda Bay, La Salle, and El Paso, but construction was never begun. Plans for establishing a port in La Salle likewise never came to fruition. During the Civil War federal troops came ashore at La Salle, and its residents fled to Indianola. The town was never reestablished.

Richard Arthur Fenner
Bela George Fenner
I see you put in an edit to make Bela's father unknown. Why do you think he is not a son of Worden Fenner?

Memorial 101275510
Hi, Bob, I am writing about Edward J. Hogan's birth year. I sent an edit to you requesting changing it from 1891 to 1861. I sure it is a typo. His father died in 1874. Edward is my paternal great great uncle. My source is Texas Deaths, 1890 - 1976.

Thank you, Jo Routhier 47764277

The information you provided regarding this relative of mine was helpful. I had not been able to locate her final resting place. It appears we may be related in some way. My great grandfather was Thomas Edward Hague (9/25/1860-12/16/1941). I recently retired and have begun piecing together some of the information I've gathered through the years.
