Bio Photo Welcome 2016!!

As you can see I am still in Colorado (currently snowing and in the teens) and still dreaming of Oregon and its waterways, bridges, moss covered trees, and yes the rain.. I am looking forward to a possible trip back to Oregon later this year for at least a week.

I have worked with and enjoyed communicating with a number of great volunteers in both Colorado and Oregon and consider them my friends and FAG family. With that in mind this year has also brought me a few nasty volunteers that I have had to have FAG block from emailing me. Please if you are one of these move on no communication is required and leaves more time for me to help the ones that need and appreciate my help. Also, I don't believe I need help on how to load memorials – after over 50,000 memorials managed I think I have it down.

I enjoy helping people with finding and linking their families – investigating is in my blood. I also enjoy filling photo requests as you can tell by my over 2,500 currently taken. So if you need my help please let me know but please be considerate on the number asked at a time so I can help others who need my help. Also, if I tell you the grave is unmarked or the loved one was never buried at the cemetery, this was only brought to your attention after asking at least two people in the office and checking out the site myself to insure the information is accurate. I find I have a great working relationship with all the cemeteries I currently work with.

Transfers! If the name is Bolejack, Bolerjack, Pomeroy, Campbell, Deboard, Dickey, Francis, Braning, or Robinson – don’t bother asking. Or if I put a flower “ Family” – please don’t ask it just takes time away from what I am currently doing. With that said – I don’t believe in hording other volunteers family members. Sometimes it might take me a few days to answer but I do try and answer as quickly as possible. I also will not transfer when you have a proven history of poor updating and editing memorials skills. I believe that the loved one and their family members deserve someone that is prepared to take care of them.

Outside of FAG I am the proud grandmother of twin granddaughters and three grandsons. And if they don’t keep me busy enough I have two twin nephews and their brother that stop by to spread joy and the occasional cold.

Thank you so much for your photo of Heinrika Opitz's grave (Find A Grave Memorial# 60128394) It helped me confirm that my great grandmother did in fact move from Neuweiler, Germany to Virginia to Philadelphia and finally to Portland!

Thanks for posting the grave pic of Felix Kelley. Find it interesting they named to section of the cemetery from which he was removed. The lady at the office said they had little info on him, only that he was one that was received for reburial. Thanks again.

Fairmount Cemetery - Thank you for posting my son's unmarked space. Too painful to visit but nice to know he was noticed by a passerby. Thanks for all that you do.

Thank you Valerie for taking the photo of Ella's grave. It looks so lonely without a marker. I makes me sad that her ornery brother, my GF, that had plenty of money didn't at the least mark her grave. I so appreciate you making the trip out there and photographing the area. It means a lot to me.

Thanks so much for taking the time to locate and photograph these markers. The long shots of the area are an added bonus. I really appreciate it!

One more question. The name and numbers in white, is this some sort of a temporary marker? I can tell you're a person who likes to be thorough and go the extra mile to fulfill a request. God Bless you. Ken

RE: Clarice, et al.
You only have daughters Elvira and Lucille linked to the new profile you created for Clara, their mother. Please also link LaVerne and Clarice to Clara. Then please also link Clara to her parents. No one in the family has ever heard of Clarice either going by the name "Claire" or having married anyone named Burns. This is currently being investigated, but I changed the profile from her confirmed married name of Berninzoni to Burns in order to quiet down the message board uproar over that in the meantime. Genealogy is a process, and there's often time and history to sort through. The patience and kind attitudes of others are always appreciated.
