Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have now been back in Colorado for a couple of years but I am still dreaming of waterways, bridges, moss covered trees, and yes the rain. I don't know if I will ever get use to the snow but I am told we need the snow for the water levels during the summer. I am unsure of the numbers but I believe rain works better and it doesn't require a shovel.

I have been lucky enough to connect with family and friends. While in Oregon I had some great Colorado volunteers that helped me with my family's stones and have had the pleasure of meeting and working with them in Colorado and meeting new ones along the way.

I have had quite a couple of years, babies born; friends & family that have passed; reconnected with friends from high school; getting to know my granddaughter, and I have had two surgeries.

I have been working a number of cemeteries trying to help family find family and over the last three years have heard some of the saddest and happiest stories from family that were so happy I helped them locate a missing loved one. I still get surprised when someone mentions the number of memorials I have loaded or the number of photo requests I have completed. I do this for you and the numbers mean nothing. If I was somehow able to help one of you during the day find an aunt, uncle, sibling, grandparent, parent, or childhood friend it is you that has given me a reason to smile that day and continue on with what I do.

Also, I believe in transferring memorials to family no matter how many generations removed. I believe the four generation rule is used for hoarders that are interested in numbers and just want to keep your family. One of my pet peeves is people taking over or starting memorials that do not know how or have any intention of maintaining the site. I feel the family belongs to the family but should be with a family member that is going to insure that links and edits are going to be taken care of in a timely manner.

I do not transfer to non family I volunteer my time for the family and that is where I want them to end up. I am impressed and grateful that there are people who take time to work on groups and any editing you require or photos you need I am your girl but NO I don't transfer to non family.

John L. Chester
John L. Chester is a relation to a good friend of mine, Thor Chester.
John's birth date and location is as follows:

2 April 1873 in Hickory, Catawba, NC, USA

He died in El Paso, Texas and his body was brought to Denver by one of his daughters who was working there. Her mother had passed away a few years before.

Hope this helps.

VDR, Thank you so much for taking a picture of this memorial for me. I appreciate the time and the super picture. What a strange stone. Does that happen often in your neck of the woods, with several people on one stone and no names of the parents. I haven't seen that before. Doesn't happen in NC like that. Thank you again for your giving spirit! Vonna

Thank you for very much for the plot pictures. I live in Pennsylvania, so I'm not sure that I would ever get to see the plot otherwise. Thank you again! -L. Rubincam

re: email
I got my email back, and I think that I didn't get the address right. I wrote a pretty lengthy email, so please email me ... so I can send my email back to you. Thanks!

re: Thank you!
Thank you so much for taking the photos for Louise and Clark Pinckley and William Porter. I sent you an email with a few details, and I REALLY appreciate your sending a note saying that you'd try to get a better shot of William Porter's grave. PLEASE do not go out of your way, but that is so kind that you'd offer. A few weeks back, nobody knew where this man was, and now, thanks to you, we have confirmed where he is. AND, I think that you are the one that sent the edit correcting the grave location, when I had a typo with a ? in it. Thank you, thank you. It's people like you that make Find A Grave so wonderful! I just can't thank you enough! God bless!

RE: Heinrich Harms
Well, so much for the work I was going to to updating them all then, for the benefit of all, if you won't transfer them. I won't do all those edits to have someone else take the credit on memorials that are actually close relatives in MY family!
