Gail is the owner of your "memorial". Gail is the only one that can delete it.

RE: Martin Varner's Marriage
I did not know Martin Varner had a will--I knew that Jacob Rice, his father-in-law, had one which named him and his wife. Is a copy of the will obtainable? We have nothing thus far that proves Martha Varner Baldwin was his daughter.

I will check to see with her about your book. If it were my family, I would snap it up in a heartbeat. I am working on a similar book project (William Roberts of Woodford Co., Ky., 1724-1791)in our family and it is truly a labor of love--I am doing notes and citations right now, after wrapping up the narrative. It's a project years in the making.

Thank you so much for your help. Yours is a fascinating family--and the little I have seen about the younger Martin Varner sounds intriguing. I read about the depredations by the Comanches in Texas that went on for so long. What tough people the pioneers were.

If you want we can carry on the conversation by email. I am at, and live in Illinois.

RE: Martin Varner's Marriage
I am doing research for a descendant, and I noticed the date. Thanks for fixing it. I hear of a bible that names Martha Varner a daughter of Martin Varner and Elizabeth Reich. Do you know of it? It seems several hands removed from being published.

Thomas/Frances Jackson
Hi Don,
I am hoping to find out who entered the detail on the Frances richardson Jackson listing on The detail lists the 12 children of Thomas and Frances including Susannah, my wifes ancestor. We are trying to find a document listing her as a child to complete the line for my wife. Is this your detail or has someone added it to your listing? If it is yours, any info you have on the family is very welcome.

Susanna Levie
Susanna Levie who married Benjamin Turner Gibbons was NOT the daughter of Peter Levie. Peter was her brother. He never married, died in 1828 in Autauga CO, Alabama. Susanna Levie's parents were Anthony Levie, b. abt. 1755, France and his wife Ann, b. abt. 1770, England. Anthony and Ann Levie and their 15 children were Catholics, who immigrated to Charles Co., Maryland. They are on the 1790, 1800, and 1810
Charles Co., Maryland Federal Census. Anthony Levie died in 1818. His wife and children eventually moved to Alabama.
