RE: Abraham Hardin
I just read your note and will have to look into this further.
I show Col. Joseph Hardin's death in 1801 in TN. Also, Rebecca Hardin, his sister (I believe) married a Kuykendall.

RE: Samuel David Stephenson
I appreciate the information because I had not been able to trace Samuel David backward. This helps.

Based on my research of some years ago I have believed my great-grandmother, Janie Stephenson Myers, (memorial # 29853475) to be the daughter of your Samuel David Stephenson and his wife Evaline Bradshaw. Do you have any additional information about the relationship? Thanks!

James K Cole
Good Morning Tommy,
I finally made it to White Rock I had to cancel my earlier trip so I just now managed to go. I did find James Cole's grave. He is not buried by Irene Hill Cole but is next to his daughter Jennie Sue Cook and her husband. I created a memorial on Find A grave the number is 131804798. I am short on time right now but will send more information soon.

Hello Tom, I don't have an answer for you right now. I live in Houston but will be visiting White Rock at the end of the month and will be happy to check this out for you.

Oh wow! You are so lucky to have that treasure of photos. I wish I had more from my father's side, the Rimmer side. His sister, my aunt Lois, was the family historian on our bunch and when she died it was left to me. I'm the one who always had the interest in genealogy and cemeteries and going through old papers and photos. The photos are great and it helps to put a face to the names.

Thank you for doing this so fast! Manda is my great grand aunt and I'm trying to connect as many family members as I can.

No, there are no trees in the area at the present. However there are several shrubbery bushes nearby. I have seen this kind of discoloration on many stones that are totally in the open. Family members can clean them if they like but we are not supposed to alter the stones in any way. I would like to clean a lot of them to make the letters more clear if nothing else.
