Bio

I have had a rough 3 yrs my Dad died i had 2 heart attacks and lost my husband so bear with me i am tryingto get back at full filling your requests. I want to get back to taking pictures but can not go on my own anymore, My sister lost her life to cancer on August 5, 2014. She is my hero. She endured pain that at times I know I wouldn't have been able to. She fought to stay with us but in the end the cancer won.She leaves behind 3 children and 3 grandchidren. This summer my grandson, Kaydn Stone & a very good friend, Jenny McDade have been visiting cementaries in our area, they have been a great help in my photo taking. I was born in 1959 in Mason Co., Wv to Melvin and Shelvia Rollins. I am the oldest of 4 children. I have 2 sisters, Angela and Melissa, and 1 brother who died in 2007, a loss our family has never recovered from. He is buried in Bethel Cementary as a lot of my Rollins family is. My Papal Rollins and Mamal Rollins are also buried there, also Papals parents, Charles Wesley and Annie "Teeters" Rollins. Annie was a Cherokee Indian that was found by the Teeters family and they raised her as their own. She is the one who I can find no information on, guess I never will. My Dad tells me little things about her but he wasn't very old when she died.
My Dads Mom: father was Otis 0attox, her mother was a Greenlee, most buried in Mason Co., WV
My mothers side: Her mother was Margaret Jean "Douglas" McCartney,(she remarried twice after my papal died in 1969, to Irvin Stephens and Cecil Pickens)She died in 2011, a wonderful woman whose loved to sew, we all have at least one quilt she has made us. Her parents were William and Lucy "Smith" Douglas. I knew my grandad but Lucy died in childbith. Along with her own children she raised her younger siblings too.
My papal Clay McCartney, died of a stroke in 1969, I was 10. His parents were Wilson and Bertha "Chidester" McCartney.
Also names in our family tree are Bowles and Kessels.
I am daily researching my ancestors, wishing i had listened more to my Grandparents growing up. I want to share everything with my grandchildren in the hopes that their lives will never be forgotten.
