Clifford was born years after Herschel died. Years after Herschel died Sarah had a relationship with Forrest Sumpter that produced a child, but no marriage. Sarah was my aunt. That is how I know about this.

According to the Death Records of Randolph County, she was born on Feb. 9 1860 and died on Feb. 6 1936. Will try for a photo next time we are in Moberly. Dave and Susan Sharp
