I started working on Find a Grave after my mother died and I began working on the family history. I am descended from the Menegay's of Mandeure, Doubs, France. Starting with Jean Baptiste Menegay, until Joseph Claude Menegay and wife, Marie Joseph Poinsot came to the U.S. with their family. I am descended from the U.S. Menegay's starting with Joseph Claude's son, John Baptiste Menegay and wife Victoria Gladieux. From their son Edward and his wife Elizabeth Weber, and from their son John Edward and his wife Katherine "Katie" Giey. From their daughter, Lillian C. Menegay, my mother.|
If you have more information than I have about your, my, ancestors, please email me and I will be glad to enter it. If you have pictures please put them on, and let me know. I would like to have them too.

|LWJ||Memorial# 54969991 Caroline Socie Cholley|
I recently found online the 1855 will of Charles A Socie (b abt 1780) that mentions his wife Celestine, son Eugene, daughter Elize married to Joseph Entin, and daughter Caroline married to Pierre Chalet aka Peter Cholley. The will is written in French but my bi-lingual friend translated it for me. The will, an 1850 census, and an 1838 passenger list have convinced me that Caroline Socie Cholley's father is NOT Jean Baptiste Socie, but Charles A Socie. I'm happy to share my research if you contact me.

Hello distant cousin,
Would you mind changing Mary Louise (Haidet) Elder's place of burial to St. Joseph Cemetery in Lockbourne, Franklin, OH. It is attached to the one in Columbus. Her husband John is also at the Lockbourne location.
Thanks for your help!

|Ed Miller||Rita Zwick 86048647|
I believe that the Rita Zwick (86048647) that you have linked to Herman (# 80495299) and Florence Gulling Zwick (# 82194653) is the wrong Rita Zwick. Rita Zwick France (# 105878326) who died in 2001 is the correct Rita Zwick. Her obit reflects that she is the daughter of Herman and Florence.

|Thomas D. Bitticker||Friedrich Reed|
I am interested in learning about Friedrich Reed (Find a Grave Memorial number 41259706). There is a Reedís Run stream and a Reedís Run Road in Tuscarawas County, Ohio. Both run through Fairfield and Goshen Townships. I thought that these may be named after Friedrich Reed, since he owned land in the vicinity. If you have any information relating to his history, I would like to hear from you.

|January Fisher||Bernard G. Tournoux|
Hello there! I wasn't sure if there were two Bernard Gene Tournoux's, but I have recently been in contact with my distant cousin Dana, which is Bernard's son. Bernard is still very much alive-just turned 81 this month. I'll double check with him, but I'm pretty sure this is the same person. Thanks! January Tournoux-Fisher
Changing a memorial to burial unknown does not change the fact that it is a duplicate. I'll have the admins merge yours into mine. LG
