Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a retired Navy Command Master Chief with 22 years of Service including 2 tours in-country Vietnam and 1 in Desert Shield/Desert Storm. Most of my career was in helicopter Search & Rescue.
I was attached to Helicopter Attack (Light) Squadron Three, HA(L)-3, in Vietnam 1970-1972, and NAS Whidbey Island SAR 1974-1977 & 1980-1984, among other duty stations, and have been trying to track down the rest of the guys who were there. Unfortunately, I find way too many of them with this "Find A Grave" search feature.

Any photos I take for Find A Grave, I do not claim as exclusive or copyrighted and anyone can copy and use the photos for whatever purpose you desire except to "Photoshop" in such a way as to slander or disrespect. Dan

RE: 4th Cousins
I have a John Thomas that was Amos G.'s brother born in Missouri 1847 but no death information. My Great Grandpa Jacob was born around Milton,IL. If they all stayed close maybe a cemetery around there. Sorry I can't help.

RE: 4th Cousins
I don't know that but Jacob was in Black Oak Cemetery and so was his wife and grandson. Could be more of their family was there as well. Martinsburg is where he died.Petty Highland Cemetery might be south of Summer Hill. My niece might know. There was more than one Petty Cemetery, one on a high ridge around Rockport/New Canton that is said to be impossible to get up to. I'm pretty sure there is one on the backside of Summer Hill. I'll ask tomorrow.

RE: 4th Cousins
Grandma and her siblings all ended up in Louisiana, MO which is in Pike County MO. I live in Pike County, IL so not quite as confusing maybe knowing parts of both counties.

Thomas J. is buried in Petty Highland Cemetary in Martinsburg, IL. I haven't looked there, got it from one of the other family trees on Ancestry. If you have Ancestry my tree is the Blacketer tree. I have Blacketer, Robinson,Eveland, Elliott,Reap and several other family member names.

RE: 4th Cousins
Thomas J. Elliott would be my great, great, great grandfather. That's basically what I was wondering what grandfather's we had in common.

RE: 4th Cousins
Did all the Elliotts go to Washington? I know my Grandma Bertha was 12 when they were in Washington. She told my mom that her mother Susie Robinson Elliott couldn't get a garden to grow out there and that was one of the deciding factors that made them come back to Illinois. Douglas, Washington is where Amos G. Elliott died. He had married my great great grandmother Susan Fast Robinson Elliott and after his death she lived with Jacob and Susan Lulu, her daughter and son-in-law and so did Dixie Belle Susan Lulu's younger sister as did Jacob's younger brother James. Found it in the Martinsburg census but I would have to look up the year. Thomas J.'s father was Amos (Stump) Elliott married to Nancy Hail Sept. 12, 1812 in Madison County, Alabama. William Elliott born 1740 in Virginia was his father and mother was Jane Trotter Clark born 1737 in Virginia.
