Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been doing genealogy for many years. One of my favorite things in researching is visiting cemeteries. I love to just walk around the tombstones and try to imagine what the people's lives might have been like. I have been contributing tombstone pictures to this site to help fellow genealogists that are a distance away that can't visit their relative's gravesite in person.

My family has been a big assistance to me in my project for this website. My son, Trenton, my daughter, Alena, and my husband, Terry, have helped me take tombstone photos. So a big "THANKS" goes out to all three of them!!

Quote from Findagrave: "The goal is not to "own" every memorial of those to whom you are related. THE ULTIMATE GOAL SHOULD BE TO HAVE MEANINGFUL, ACCURATE MEMORIALS THAT HONOR THOSE WHO HAVE PASSED AWAY, REGARDLESS OF WHO CREATED THE MEMORIAL OR WHO MAINTAINS IT." Please keep this in mind when you request a transfer as it takes a lot of time and money to do research to add memorials to this site. I love working on this site, but I have run into some problems just recently.

I DO WELCOME ADDITIONS, CORRECTIONS AND FAMILY LINKS. The more information the better!! I usually get the updates done within 1 or 2 days.

Joseph D. Z. Brown
I read with interest the page you have created for Joseph D.Z. Brown. Frances E. Brown, my 2ndGGP, appears to be the daughter of Joseph D.Z. Brown. Joseph D.Z. Brown was the executor of the estates of Robert Muckleroy and Frances E. Brown.

I have not been able to identify and prove who J.D.Z.'s parents were. Please email to me the evidence you have that J.D.Z.'s mother is Polly Claybourn Brown.

Horn/Ford Families
Hi Lesa,
It has been a few years since you had emailed me, but now that retirement is here, there is more free time to research.
Thanks for the memorial postings.
One correction that I need to make is change Mary Marie Ford to the daughter of Patrick Ford instead of William & Nancy.
Learning to list citations is what I needed to do years ago before getting to this place. Research in retrospect is much easier that way.
Thanks Again,Ron Tuggle

Thanks Lesa for adding the bio info and including my "tag" (hyperlink access to my bio page). Most people won't bother and delete it, and it is so handy for people to click on to reach me if they need more information or reference documents! Really appreciate it!

Eli and Margaret (Teegarden) McKee
Hi Lesa, I came across my GG Grandmother's (Florence Ellen McKee Carr)obituary on USGENWEB and added her to Coopers Chapel Cemetery. She was married to Henry Carr and they had three children who are all buried in Coopers Chapel: Mary Carr, Charles Carr, and Clara Carr. She also had a son Ora Wilbur (Lora) McKee, my Great-Grandfather. I have not been able to locate Florence Ellen McKee's parents' burials - they lived in Fountain County in 1860. They were Margaret (Teegarden) and Eli McKee. Margaret was listed with another daughter, who is also buried in Coopers Chapel, Mary Rosella McKee Allen, wife of George Allen, on the 1870 Fountain County Census. I am just wondering if Margaret (Teegarden) and Eli McKee could possibly be buried in Coopers Chapel? Do you have any suggestions for me as far as obituaries or other depositories for names in the Fountain County cemeteries that maybe I have missed? Thank you!!

I was in Osborn yesterday and was unaware there are three cemeteries in Osborn. I only went to the two, St. Mary's and Immanuel Lutheran.
Today I spoke with a lady at the newspaper. On Labor Day, I will pick up a centennial book so find out where the requested are buried.
If you want to wait, I will try my best to take photos.

I was wondering if you are related to these Smoots, the Harvey R on here pretty sure it's my Harvey Wheeler Smoot, Birth, Death Year matches, on Census, was spelled different ways, I would like to prove 100% if anybody has info. Somebody on Ancestry.Com has Bible records tying him to these Parent's but it's on private tree and I think they are no longer on, never replied to my message. Thanks for any help if you are related.

I was wondering how you became interested in the Barnes-Packard family grave sites. I somehow found my way to this site and found my great great great grandfathers and great grandmothers grave site and my grandmother's grave site. Genevieve Barnes-Packard. My Father is one of Genevieve's sons. Thank you for any all replies. Jenny

Sunset Memorial Park in Illinois
I am a granddaughter of Walter & Grace Sechrest, buried in Sunset Memorial Park in Danville, IL. I plan on visiting the latter part of this month & want to put some remembrance on their graves & get photos for the family tree I am compiling. Just so you know, Walter & Grace had 7 children, Juanita is one of the younger children and my mother, Henrietta, is the youngest and a twin to Marietta. (My mother is the only one still living at age 92, but in failing health.) I don't know if you do any other research, but I am looking for information on my great grandfather, Joel Henry Sechrest, Jr., who is believed to have died between 1890-1900, location of death and grave unknown. His wife, Elvira Cherry Sechrest, also died at or about the same time and so far, I've found absolutely nothing. So much for my story.... In order to add information about my grandparents, do I need to go through you or can I post info on my own? Thank you.
