Sacred to the memory of
My Beloved Dad ***********************************
~~Greetings from the great state of Indiana~~
The online memorials I've created are my kinfolk. It's taken many years to find the dates of death and burial places for some of these individuals. I welcome all corrections.
In keeping with the purpose of this site, that is, grave registration, or other known final arrangements such as cremation, I am a "No Burial Unknown" contributor.

 | RE: grave of Griffith Gartin JJ Thanks for your note. The farthest back I have been able to trace my Gartin connection is William Gartin, born 1792 in Monroe Co VA and died 1843 in Decatur Co IN. His wife was Mary Polly Williams. They had 10 children.
The Griffith Gartin that is connected to my line was born in Monroe Co VA on 13 Apr 1815 and died in Decatur Co IN on 28 Feb 1871. It is his gravestone that I photographed.
His wife was Mary Ann Fear. They had 11 children, one of whom was also named Griffith (1854-1933).
He had a sister Mary Ellen Gartin born 18 Aug 1828 in Decatur Co IN and died 20 Jun 1914 in Albany, MO.
Is this the same Gartin line as yours? | | | suscat
