Let me start by saying that I do VERY MUCH appreciate anyone who has taken their time to enter memorials in this wonderful system. Without your contribution this system would not be as wonderful as it is today. If you are one of the great photographers that waits for the perfect light and gets down on their knees to take that close up shot I applaud you and than you for your hard work!

Something I have learned poking around here for a while now. It is pointless to enter thousands and thousands of memorials if you are not going to respond to update requests so the data you have entered is accurate. There is no badge of honor for keying in pages of cemetery books only to ignore correction and linkage requests for the individuals you have entered. If you are going to support this project please respond to the update requests quickly or transfer the memorial to the requestor so that they can make the updates. They obviously have been doing some research for a reason. Please don't be a roadblock here.

I normally post SAC update requests sent to me in 2 weeks. If the memorial has not been updated in that time send me another SAC request please because it is a good indication I probably missed or did not get your first request.

Another thing I have learned is it helps to park your emotions and hot buttons at the door. We are all here to support this project and help it grow and develop. Sometimes it is easy to loose sight of that common goal. If you are easily offended by a simple request or find that you begin to take feedback too personally try to remember this is a community and not just your own playground. For this place to work we all have to work together and that requires some tolerance from everyone involved.

I have been working my family tree for more than 30 years. Lost all my computer data and working to rebuild my files. Family names of PERSONS, BADER, COX, NEIMAN, SUTTON, EMERY, AUMBERIC, GUTTING, RAU, VanWORMER, and others.
Son of the American Revolution.
Photographer, Geocacher, and Waymarker.

Photographers: If you can, take a photo of the grave to the left and the grave to the right of your targeted grave and create a memorial for each if they do not already exist. Your photos are critical for this projects success.

Remember to back up your data! and ALWAYS have FUN!

Can you give me an address of the church or highway that it is located on. We will be visiting this cemetery in a few months to locate Robertsons buried there.

Charlotte Wilcox
Hi Mark,
Do you have a source for date of birth for Charlotte? I calculate that she was born about 1784 if she was 81 years at her death.
I am trying to find and source her parents in my family tree, but am hitting a dead end.
Thanks for your help.

Hi Mark, could you give me your source for Isobel's burial in this cemetery. I have 2 other sources for burial in Allen Family Cemetery, as unknown wife of Richardson, 68011850 & ancestry.com which has her dying in your town but buried in Allen Family Cemetery. Thanks, Charlotte

Hi Mark, I added your suggestion to the bio section as noted. Do let me know if you'd like this one transferred to you. I'd be happy to transfer any of the memorials in Glenwood Cemetery that I manage to you - particularly if they're family members of yours. Best,
Sara.

backups!
I was reading your bio - and, yes, always backup and backup your information. I keep mine in 4 different places, as I have an extensive genealogy software program and it would be tragic if I lost that! I guard it with my.......... well, you know, life! All out there - take note BACKUPS are precious! Take care - Ruthie

Persons Relationship
Hi!

I'm relatively new to genealogy research, but through a websearch (not Ancestry, strangely enough) I found your listing for Henry Leroy Persons, my Great Uncle (his sister Vivian was my maternal grandmother). I'm curious about how you're related in the Persons tree, and if you'd like to exchange any information. I've been active on Ancestry for over a year, and have amassed a great deal of Persons information.

Sincerely,
Christian Roman

I took pictures of Irven and Marion and will post them. One problem, they are not located in the Worth cemetery. They are in the Saratoga cemetery as it says in the obituary. I will contact the person (none to be forgotten) that listed it and ask her to change it to Saratoga. I will also tell her that she has the wrong death date for Irven.

Derward Emery
Well, I had the lady who found the info on Derward's burial info transfer the memorial to me, then saw that you had used the info. So, I'll delete mine, but request that the following corrections be made on your memorial: Under "notes" paragraph 2 please correct the last word to "Clark". Under research notes" last paragraph please delete, as we have located final resting place.
