My husband and I were both born in Ogle County, Illinois. We resided in Ogle and Winnebago Counties for most of our lives, and retired to the Phoenix area in 1999.|
Roger is the Administrator of the Ogle County Genealogy Site, The Romberger All-Family History Site and Roger and Sue Cramer's Genealogy Site. He has helped many people connect to their family lines, especially those from the Washington County, Maryland and Dauphin County, Pennsylvania areas, with many descendents that eventually settled in the Ogle County, Illinois area. He has written two books on his family lines: "The Matter/Motter Family" and "The Shilling/Schelling Family".
I have written one book entitled "The Hepfer Family of Franklin County, Pennsylvania", and I am currently researching and writing a second book about my Stephen Bemis line.
Some of our direct family lines include: Motter, Schelling, Hoverland, Cramer, Bemis, Hardesty, Ferguson, Demuth, Hepfer, Frisk and Larson.
We appreciate the Findagrave site, as it has given us an opportunity to preserve the graves and biographies of our ancestors. Our project is to link our ancestors with their children and grandchildren, so that the information will be available to future generations.
We commend all those who have worked so diligently on the Findagrave site. It is a wonderful genealogical tool.

My note says Ritzman, Sarah A.wife of B.W. born 20 Oct 1846 died 30 July 1868----19 years 9 months 10 days
Just a kid when she died. Maybe child birth ?
Hope this helps.
I kept running into a problem when I tried to connect David and Edward Coover, so I transferred the one I had, to you. My mom's sister married Thomas E. Coover and a son lives in Seattle. Their dau is very interested in genealogy so I'm going to try to connect her to you. MLC

I was excited to see the information you've posted on Sarah Elizabeth "Betsy" Hardesty Grothe. She would be my great great grandma.
I have a website I'm building: email@example.com and am beginning to work on building her page. I have an interview of her granddaughter who is sharing stores from her childhood that included Betsy.
How are you related?

Sue, I have added the links to Clara's parents. Thanks for the info! Also, if you know of any family of hers that would like a memorial transfer, please let them know I am willing to do one. Just pass my number along (47908214).

Thank you Sue for the information linking Catherine to her father.
