Bio Photo Being a photo volunteer for Find A Grave has become my primary hobby, and has inspired a belief that every person deserves that their time, regardless how little or how long, be preserved in grave marker photo's before time and the elements takes it's toll and they are lost forever. Having the opportunity to provide others with grave marker pictures, who otherwise, may never have a chance to see them, is a gratifying experience. I strive to get the best possible photo, although deterioration, or location, of some markers makes that difficult.

Currently, my main focus is on Rose Hill Cemetery, in Grady Co. Okla. I have, so far, found dozens upon dozens of people buried there that are not listed on cemetery sexton records. I do this by making photo surveys and comparing them to the records. I've determined that dozens more that are listed in the records are in unmarked graves. I am compiling a list of names and locations in hopes of someday getting this information into the records. I hope to accomplish this before it is my turn to fill one of those plots.

Your tombstone stands among the rest
Neglected and alone
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished marble stone
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood and bone
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so
I wonder if you lived and loved
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot
And come to visit you

Thank you for taking these photos. The father died in Bolivia and several months later his wife and their 2 sons flew down to Bolivia to get his remains and the three of them died in an airplane crash. My father-in-law and his cousin and her husband and a business associate died in a plane crash in Alberta Canada in 1967. They were found 2 years to the day by a trapper. Thanks again
