Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have lived in Southwest Oklahoma all my life. I enjoy doing genealogy for both my husband's and my families and am a member of our local county genealogy society. I want to be a part of finding and preserving our family history information. I try to help others by volunteering to take photos of their families gravestones in cemeteries near me as others have done to help me.

Please feel free to copy information and/or cemetery photos I've added on for your own personal family history records. You don't need to contact me directly for permission, but please indicate that I provided the photo and that it is being used with permission. If you are using it for commercial purposes or monetary gain, you will need to contact me for written permission.

As time permits, I am photographing gravestones in our county cemeteries. Please let me know if you ever notice any errors or if you would like for me to transfer a memorial to you that isn't one of my family memorials.

Happy Hunting!

Funny you asked about the name're the 3rd person asking about it in the past 2 weeks. I have no proof of it. I got the info from someone several years ago & she did not have her source. Sorry.

RE: Mabel Perkins
Hi Galeen,

Yes, on that draft card it also gave another name for Harry's wife, which was, Amanda. It kind of looked like Addie could have been something slightly different?

But you see... I cannot see very well. My vision is 5x worse than the definition of legally blind in my good eye at 20/1000. My bad eye is immeasurable. Maybe you could take another look at that and let me know.

I have not looked at Mabel's 1920 census yet, (or the actual image of Harry's. Just the index.) but I am pretty sure they were all still together in that one.

1920 -
US Census
Name: Harry N Perkins
Age: 46
Birth Year: abt 1874
Birthplace: Texas
Home in 1920: Justice Precinct 7, Titus, Texas
House Number: Farm
Race: White
Gender: Male
Relation to Head of House: Head
Marital Status: Married
Spouse's Name: Addie M Perkins
Father's Birthplace: Texas
Mother's Birthplace: Texas
Able to Speak English: Yes
Occupation: Farmer
Industry: Farming
Employment Field: Own Account
Able to Read: Yes
Able to Write: Yes
Household Members:
Name Age
Harry N Perkins 46
Addie M Perkins 39
Ella La Perkins 10
Jas A Perkins 8

I am trying to find Addie's maiden name.

On Harry's D/S it says his Mother's maiden name is Morton, But I entered Norton.

Thank you,

RE: Mabel Perkins
Hi Galeen,

Here is a tidbit. Harry and his family was living with and working for Mabel on 9/12/1918 at RFD 2, Cookville, Titus, Texas. As per his WWI draft card.

RE: Mabel Perkins

No problem. I think it still could be counted as a possible. Just not likely. I find myself wishing Harry could have lived to 1943 so I could check his complexion and his WWII draft card. lol.

Thank you,
