I was born and raised in West Michigan near the shores of Lake Michigan. My husband and I own a nursery. I enjoy the outdoors and am the chairperson for our local cemetery committee. I spend time keeping the cemetery neat and tidy so while I'm out there working I also take pictures of the headstones for our cemetery records. It has snowballed from there.

Pat, I came across a photo taken some years ago of the George A Smith headstone when it was not so obscured by grass. If you do not like it, just hit the delete button.

Alpena Beach Cemetery
Do you have any information on Alpena Beach Cemetery ? My great great grand father’s obit indicates he was buried there March, 4 1913. Ottawa death record indicates he died and is buried in Holland Township. Obit indicates “Christoffer Snell, died at his home in Holland township near Alpena. The funeral will be held Thursday at 1 o'clock from the Harderwijk Christian Reformed Church. Internment will take pace at the Alpena Beach Cemetery”.
I live in St Louis MO, but, was in Ottawa
County, MI in summer of 2015 but could not find anyone who knew of Alpena Beach Cemetery in Holland Township.Thank you for photo,s you have provided and and any help with cemetery. Arlo Curtis
