David Cowan, father of Sarah
Hey Margie--I have a shakey tree preceding Sarah Cowan, although I do know David Cowan 1741-1811 was her father [will of David Cowan 1811]. I work on the tree from time to time [David's ancestors] but am not happy with it. Would really like to connect with others researching this line. I have taken the autosomal DNA fron=m ancestry.com and need to transfer the results sooner than later.

thanks, judy knight

RE: Minnie L Purkey
Hello!

Minnie L. Purkey (16450442)was my Great Aunt, & I was wondering if you would please either give the memorial to me to maintain, or add her to her parents, John Allen Woody,8062878, & Martha "Mattie" E Triplett Woody, 8062885.

Thank you very much!

RE: Many thanks for the Campbell photos
maybe his father also named Iaac , I guess they could have been his sisters. Those dates were definitely put down as 1818 and 1816

I really think the two girls were Isaac's daughters.

RE: Many thanks for the Campbell photos
I took your advice today and cleaned the markers enough to read them (most of it anyway). It worked really well although these markers are really worn.
There was only a couple of places, the day of the month of death and age on Albinas part of the marker. Her and her sister appear to be buried together because the marker is just one. There was some info on the website that was wrong. The year of death of the girls was 1818 and 1816 instead of 1848 and 1846.

I took new pictures and reposted them on the website. I took a total of 7 pictures, I will try and get an email address for you and send them for you. I also visited the probate off for Bibb county but could not find anything in the census records for Isaac . I also looked at marriage certs. but could their records only went back to 1817.
You might try getting in touch with the state of alabama health dept and you might could find death certs for them. I am not sure what year the state started keeping them, I will check and let you know.

I live about 25 miles away but I will try that in the next week. These headstones were very worn though. I will check that at the courthouse for you.
