W A Snyder memorial #64460772
Are you related to this Snyder? I am a Snyder too and think this might be the brother of my ancestor. Do you know anything about him?

Alexander C Snyders at Forest Home Cemetery

Please obtain the burial plot by calling the cemetery at 773-287-0772 or try e-mailing if you cannot talk to someone.

This cemetery DOES NOT help photo volunteers.

Additionally, since there are over 150,000 burials at the cemetery, finding someone's grave without a plot (Section and Lot Number) is nearly impossible.

Currently here are over 100 photo requests, going back to 2006, that are unfulfilled here because the photo requestor has not obtained the burial plot.

Barnabas Genung
The first line in Barnabas' Find A Grave states that he committed suicide by hanging. Do you have a source document such as a death certificate that I could use to confirm this statement? If so, I would sincerely appreciate it if you could attach a copy to an email and send it to me at

Thank you for your consideration of this request.

Reuben and Mary Thomas
You have moved Reuben and Mary Thomas's memorials to the correct Bethel Cemetery but they are duplicates of memorials that already exist there. Those existing memorials are already linked in with family members at the same cemetery. Could you please delete them?

Maud E. Miller Bateman
Hello, thank you for posting the headstone for Edward, Mary Miller and their daughter Maud Bateman. Maud is my great grandmother and they are my great-great grandparents. We have been trying to find out more about Maud and her husband, Edward.
How are you related
? Can you tell me anything about Maud and Edward? Their son Harold didn't seem to know much, he was 4 when she died.

Thank you for your time,

George Osborne
Hello everyone. I am looking for more information on the Thomas Snyder and Amanda Osborne Snyder history. Amanda is my 1st cousin 3x removed. They had 3 children. I believe they got divorced and Amanda married into the "Broad" family. The children were Walter, Edward and Nellie. Any info would be helpful.

thank you, George

Yandeau family in Lowville cemetery
Just wish to thank you for putting some of my Yandeau extended family on this site.
I did not grow up knowing much about my father's Yandeau's because the family was separated. Filling in the gaps is helped greatly by people like yourself who take a moment of their time to walk cemeteries and randomly make memorials, never knowing how some day they will touch people's lives. Small pieces of a jigsaw puzzle are finally coming together.
Thanks again.
