We would be glad to help you with adding information, but |
YOU NEED TO USE THE EDIT TAB.
Due to the number of emails that we receive, we reserve the right to not respond to those who do not USE THE EDIT TAB per FAG guidelines. We do not add information from "Visitors" to FAG.
Per FAG policy, we have 30 days to make a correction/addition. Apparently the edits are not always linked with an email, but sit in the FAG edit file awaiting discovery. We try very hard to take care of these requests promptly.
We are not responsible for the 'half-sibling' notes on links or repetitious links. That is a database or submitter problem. If you do not understand why, please contact FAG.
TRANSFERS & CORRECTIONS-----Please follow the Find A Grave Guidelines for transfers and corrections and specify the relationship. "Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren." Please use a Virtual Cemetery to collect your non-direct ancestors or special populations.
If you feel that you are somehow 'entitled' to our copyrighted work and pictures, do not be surprised that you will be held accountable. Each and every photo on this website is the copyrighted material of the person who took the photo (some may have been passed down or have been granted permission to post/use a photo) and usually posted it. Permission is usually granted when requested. This is not about sharing. The photos and pics are in fact, shared on this site. It is about the common courtesy to those that spend time, effort and money all at their own personal expense to help preserve American history.
We have met many wonderful people through FAG. Unfortunately, there have been a number of individuals who have been rude, who have not understood that we are volunteers, who have been otherwise abusive or who have been frankly bizarre and/or threatening. To that end, we will follow the FAG guidelines. It is about the hunt, not the numbers. But dealing with some of the FAG members and interlopers, we have learned to follow the guidelines.
Our family names/linages include:
ADAMS, BEHEN, BELL, BENNETTS, BICKERTON, BLYTHE, BULLOCK, BUTLER, CALLISON, CHAMNESS [CHAMLESS], COLEMAN, COCKRELL, CORDER, COONTZ, CROSS, DAVIS, DAY, DOUGHERTY, DUDLEY, DUNLIN, DUNN, FEASTER, FEHAN, GENTRY, GROSE, HENINGER, HUNGERFORD, JOHNSON, LAWRIE, LEMMONS, LORD, MARSHALL, MAXEY [MAXCY], MCCOWN, MONTGOMERY, MURRAY, NEEHAN, OVERTON, PRESLEY, RUTHVEN, SMOOT, SPLAWN, STANSBURY, [TATHAM, TATEM, TATUM], TAYLOR, TERRELL, THURMAN, TIPTON, WARD, WATERS, WEBSTER, WEINWRIGHT, VOTAW, WINSTON, WOOD, YOUNG AND ETC. THIS IS THE SHORT LIST.
We have been working on family genealogy for about 35 years. We have a great number of documents that were passed down the family lines.
Both of us have formal training in advanced, graduate level research.

|TimRoy||Stanley D. Cox|
I am unfamiliar with your website. However, I have been looking for records on Stanley Dale Cox born in 1939. One of your gravesite pictures from Oklahoma has Stanley D. Cox who died in 1970. Is there any way to find our additional information on the location of the gravesite? TimRoy

|GermanMagnolia||Soule Chapel Cemetery|
Would you know if there is a transcription of the headstones in this cemetery. I am seeking James Parker Ragsdale d c 1850 and Narcissa Harrison Ragsdale d 1859. Narcissa is daughter of Capt Burr Harrison and Elizabeth Dargan (my 4th ggrandparents) . Narcissa┤s sister Rebecca Harrison Cockrell mem 135172139 is buried at Soule Chapel and your names were "created by".
Thank you for any information,
The record says Carolyn G Vance, and looking at the gravestone, I can see why. However, this is my aunt. I have been doing genealogy for my family for almost 60 years, started at 12.
I know from both my grandmother and my aunt that she was not given a middle name. She used her maiden name for that, so it was Carolyn C Vance, C being for Campbell.
I will be in touch with my cousin to see if he can get the letter fixed to look less like a G.
Meanwhile Would appreciate having the record change so when her descendants look for her grave they can find it.

|Nancy (Hitchcock) Clewell||Webster / Derrick family|
Hello! Apparently we are connected to the Webster family thru my husband's side of the family: Derrick.
|Jim Baxter Jr||Robert Bell|
Hi Cathy & Thomas,
I have an an email from a Bob Frances about the Bells of Pennsylvania. In it has the information I put on Find-A-Grave about Robert Bell, Jr. I did not keep great notes on it, 'm afraid. The email also list his brothers, Joseph, Samuel & John.
Robert Jr had a brother, James that is my direct descendant. I only go back to their father, Robert, Sr. If you have any other information older than that it would be great to know.
Hope you are having a great week.

|GBK||RE: Henry Jonathan Coleman Jr. b 1830|
I contacted FindaGrave to correct the problem with infant Henry Jonathan Coleman 45571038 having children. The person who incorrectly posted this must no longer be available because his page had a message to contact FindaGrave. I hope they can fix this error. I gave them the number of the correct father for Preston and Charles.
