Born and raised in Dexter, Stoddard County, Missouri, my passion is finding family info. I am fairly new to genealogy and any knowledge I may have is self taught so am not savvy with terminology or protocol. I am learning as I go with Ancestry, Find A Grave and some on site cemetery searching. I have family buried in cemeteries all around Stoddard County Missouri but am most familiar with Dexter, Bloomfield & Bernie Missouri area cemeteries. Also, have ancestors buried in IL, IN, TN, KY, AR, LA, ETC. Finding a family member's grave site and stone is important to me so maybe I can help someone else by posting a picture for their family. I research the following families: Barker, Sitton, Williamson, Teachenor, Edwards, Harris, Corder, Mitchel, Waggoner, Cordry, Middleton, Thrower, Birchfield, etc.|

Hmm. Not sure what the spousal request was about. Go ahead and delete that request. Everything looks correct as is to me with the updated bio you added which I appreciate. I had sent in an edit to get his parents and brother linked to him which now show.

First I would like to say thank you for the recent updates you have sent me recently, I actually in Colorado and received a batch of memorials when she was trying to downsize on the number of memorialsshe had, she had come across my work on Find A Grave when we were passing information back and forth in our work.
Gilbert,s memorial was one of those she passed management to me, so I have no direct involvement with most of the memorials she passed over to me.
I was able to find an obit for Gilbert, in its content it had the date which was recorded on his memorial page which was different by a couple of days from that recorded on his military record,
I looked up the funeral home which created the obituary and noted that the heading on his page gave the military date as his date of birth, I therefore corrected his memorial page date of birth as that you had found,I corrected the date in the obit and made a note that I had done that.
Again thank you for your work on Find A Grave its really satisfying when members work together to enable accurate and comprehensive memorials for those who have gone before us.
Have a great day

I saw the photo you posted on findagrave.com of my grandmother's grave in Bernie Memorial Cemetery in Bernie, MO. Her name is Thelma Victoria Talbert. I've never been to Bernie before. My mother was only 7 years old when her mother (my grandmother) passed away.
This weekend we plan to pass through the MO boot heel and I told my husband I wanted to find my grandmother's grave in Bernie.
Being I've never been to this cemetery before, would you have any clue where in this cemetery I can find her grave? It says Section 3.
Any help you can give our who I may contact for more keep would be much appreciated.
Vicky (Cooper) Slaybaugh
PS: My mother was Katie Jane (Talbert) Cooper. She passed away in 1988 at the age of 49. Her dad, Lee Talbert, Thelma's husband, passed away in 1987. He's buried in Shawnee Mission, KS. I have more info in my geneology.com.

Jeanie, thank you so much for the transfer of Deward "Deke" Philpott. You were really fast to do this, surprised me...I really do appreciate it. I will connect him to his parents.
|Paul Mills||Crump family connections: thank you|
Sorry about the long delay in communications. Thanks for making the memorial family connections for Oliver Henry Crump and his spouses.
My 2 sons Paul and Jayden earned their Genealogy merit badge which in turned inspired me to make rather family search.
My grandmother Anna Vanita Senn - Mills grew up close to your residence. My Aunt Debbie K Mills - Nenninger currenly lives close too. She has been researching the mills family for few years too.

Thank you for updating her info! She is part of my extended family (a 2nd great aunt). It's ok not transferred to me since all her information is now accurate and updated.
