I've found numerous graves of my ancestors that someone had posted. I probably will never get to visit their graves, so I appreciate that "proxy" visit. |
On my memorials, I'll add the parents' names if I can find where they were born, as it certainly can help with tracing them.
I especially like to find veterans (all wars) to honor them and will add a flag, or floral tribute, especially if they don't have one.
I welcome information to a memorial, or a correction. I usually don't edit or be judge and jury over whether to add it. Use the white Edit tab at right top of the memorial. I will transfer a memorial if you are a relative, but I'd expect you to transfer if someone else asks you and they are closer kin.
My Family names I research: Vance/Sinclair, Yarbrough/Ellis/Young, Montgomery/Posey, Barnett/ Reynolds; Yandell/Sparks, Lee/Durham, Ward, Powell/Weaver.
NOTE: I appreciate the person who posted that we need to look at our 'profile' page (top right) "Edits" to find requests for amendments to memorials we need to make for them.
Findagrave has made it easy to add these 'edits' by just "accept", and "process" them (bottom).
I still see people writing on a profile page asking to add links, etc. The upper right, white edit tab, will let you do that and it is an easy, accurate way to add links, titles, names, places, etc to a memorial, and the owner will probably get it done much, much, quicker.
With the "new edit" method, I don't always write a 'thank-you' nor do I expect one. We all have plenty to do to keep up. BUT, be assured that I do APPRECIATE any addition/correction, or PHOTO REQUEST you fulfill for me. Please accept this as my thanks for your efforts.

Im sorry but I only took a picture of this stone and I have no idea who this person is. I at one time had a copy of the Mahon cemetery book and who is buried in it
my great grandparents and ancestors are buried there and I went there from Decatur Ill to take pictures several times.
I have no information on this person other than what the stone says.
Are you relate?

So glad you found him!

Oh no, it is the "Joseph Fernald" Cemetery in West Lebanon, Maine, where he is buried. If I wasn't running around doing last minute pre-Christmas things, I'd go over to the cemetery to get the pictures. Maybe this coming weekend.

Thank you so much for the transfer of Charles Deisher's memorial page! I have already updated it and linked him with his parents and siblings pages.

I could not find him either. If you would contact the Historical society at Eureka in Greenwood county they may be able to locate him. Have a nice day Wonderer

Thanks for the transfer of my ROSE family. I think I may have thanked you already but I got a little confused and wanted to make sure I did thank you for your kindness because I really do appreciate it and have added and connected as I could.
