Bio and Links
Bio Photo I welcome information or a correction to a memorial.

Use the white Edit tab at right top of the memorial, then the "Suggestion email..." even if you have a question about a memorial. I can look at it and know exactly who and what you are writing about without entering names, and memorial numbers, to look it up.

ALSO, Please remember to "Check Your Edits" as it's easy to forget about it.

I usually don't edit or check the info sent to me to be sure it is accurate, nor do I act as judge and jury over whether to add it. If I see an obvious error, then I'll ask, or check. You should check it if you doubt it.

On memorials I contribute, I try to check the state and other records to assure it is accurate, but still I make mistakes.

I will transfer a memorial if you are a relative, but I'd expect you to transfer if someone else asks you and they are closer kin.

I honor veterans (all wars) with a flag, or floral tribute, especially if they don't have one

My Family names I research: Vance/Sinclair, Yarbrough/Ellis/Young, Montgomery/Posey, Barnett/ Reynolds; Yandell/Sparks, Lee/Durham, Ward, Powell/Weaver.

With the "new edit" method, I don't always write a 'thank-you' nor do I expect one. We all have plenty to do to keep up. BUT, be assured that I do APPRECIATE any addition/correction, or PHOTO REQUEST you fulfil for me. Please accept this as my thanks for your efforts.

Transfer of Donny Lynn Wallace

Donny was my cousin and his ashes are interred between my maternal Great grandparents at King Cemetery. I recently added his brother Tommy Wallace to King Cemetery. Could you please consider transferring ownership of this record to me so that I may correctly update it with pertinent family information?

Mary's birthdate is incorrect on the gravestone it was December 10,1865. I left a note on her memorial as to whom her parents were. I researched this thoroughly and am correct 100%.

RE: Dora Lewis Dill - reply
Hi Winnie,

I thought maybe that was you! I'll get back to you on any other pertinent info on Dora. I do know she was born in Brown County, Texas. Both her parents families were living there at the time, and as best I can tell from various records all were born there near Brownwood.

Frank Lewis' mother owned land there where they farmed, as did Sarah's father. They did move for a short time to Dona Ana County, New Mexico in 1885, but returned to Brown County until Sarah's death. Frank then left Texas and eventually wound up in Oklahoma where he died. He did marry again twice. Other cousins from that line have a lot more info, so I'll glean from them.

It's so nice to see you take an interest in this, since you mentioned you are not related!

I'll email what I find to your private address.

Thanks again,

Dora Ellen Lewis Dill Memorial
I added a memorial for Dora's mother, Sarah Jane Tune Lewis if you'd like to re-edit and include her on Dora's memorial. It's # 166939026.

Ada Lucas in Unicoi
Hi there, I agree with your assessment that Ada most likely would be with her parents, given "Unicoi" as listed burial spot. I find no record of her name in the survey compilation, either at Swingle or anywhere in Unicoi County. I will go out there and see if there is a depression near the parents' marker. I doubt I can help you, but will take a look in the next week or so. Gordon

9995964 Lillie Doss
You may wish to remove your floral offering. I had the wrong Lille - lillie Quick - listed as the wife of Andy Doss.

Check out this grave:
Doss, Lillie May 156469611
b. Dec. 13, 1884 d. Jul. 7, 1951

She married Maborn Doss and the two women have been confused since that time! To make it worse, they both married in November, but 3 years apart. If you look at Lillie Doss 9995964 you will see the proof that convinced me of my error. I double checked and found it accurate and then found the other lille! I hope my error has not caused you too many mistakes in your family tree. Still shaking the branches in mine.

The Lillie at Arkadelphia was born in Alabama.
The Lillie at Elvester Cemetery, Blount County, was born in Georgia.

Thhanks for reading!

RE: Stubblefield Cem., Hughes Co. OK
I'm pretty sure I remember where this cemetery is - out in the middle of nowhere!

On 270, between Horn Town and Holdenville, there is a house with a tall flagpole and flag in the yard. Turn south on the dirt road by that house - 376 Road.

Follow that road for a couple of miles and it will curve sharply to the left - turn right at that curve and follow the road up to the cemetery.

Good luck!
