I found Find-A-Grave (aka FAG) accidentally, but I love the idea, hope that it always stays free to the public.|
If there is something I've posted that you question, or are concerned about; please contact me. I'd like to get the information on the memorial as correct and complete as possible.
I try to use as many sources as possible (that I can get to) to get the information correct; such as Cemetery records, Church Records, Funeral home records, County records, State records, obituaries, & from the families; but I know mistakes can be made. Please let me know.
One problem that comes up a LOT, is duplication; since I work mainly from church records, I have no idea if indeed there are 2 cemeteries; or 1 cemetery with various different names that were used over years; both instances have occurred. But what is the right answer?? I have found 1 person who has two stones in 2 cemetery's in 2 different STATES; but where is the body actually?? Or a different person entirely? I can't tell you because I don't know. I have found where a person was buried to start with, then because of changes for example; dams, family wants to move them, I try to keep as much information, to note the 1st burial (disregarding the date when entered into FAG) as a memorial and make changes to show they were here now have been moved to here; very important for tracking family moves throughout the years.
Myself? I am researching for my own inter-related family branches as well; Bahr, Baker, Hays, Keyes, Kussmann, McLaughlin, Meeker, Shaw, Visger, and Walker (up to great-great-grandparents and all their siblings so far).
I found a statement about links that is similar to my own beliefs. Myself? I believe in adding information as found because others might not have that particular detail that will help them. I have requested of Melaney Friesen Shaum to be able to use it and with permission, here it is:
•♥• *ღஜ Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ ஜღ* •♥• *ღஜ Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ ஜღ* •♥•
Let's help the next family member or researcher that visits a memorial by adding all the family links that we know. When family members are not linked, it makes the next person do the research all over again. Also, if we have the information, let's use it before it is forgotten.
I also believe that family links make this site easier to use. The easier it is to use, the more it will be used and the better it will get.

Would be glad to transfer him to you, but do you want me to add the cemetery info and an obit first? I'd be glad to look them up.
|Cindy Price||Elizabeth Mead #93598948|
In looking at this daughter of Stehphen and Mary Mead.#93598753..please check to see the actual death Date for Mary MEAD is really 1823, BECAUSE if that is true, then Elizabeth Mead #93598948 could not be her daughter because she was born in 1826. Let me know..if you can read the stones again, sure would appreciate it.
Thank for all your hard work!

Thank you for adding the information for Lucinda Clark Rice and her husband. Your willingness to add info and update pages is greatly appreciated.

My pleasure. Last Memorial Day weekend I photographed about half of the cemetery, and if the weather cooperates I'll photograph the remaining half this year. I'm working on adding photos to all the Pleasant View Cemetery entries on Find a Grave.
Thank you so much for sending me the obituary for George Doze! I have added it to his memorial. I really appreciate your time and help : )

DO YOU BY ANY CHANCE KNOW WHERE IN KANSAS THIS COUPLE IS BURIED? ENOS 1867-1916 AND KATE 1865-1930. I AM LOOKING FOR A PICTURE OF THEM OR A GRAVESTONE.
|James||A W CAMBELL|
Hi. Thanks for posting A W Cambell (Campbell) on Find A Grave. He was married to Frances Fanny Isabel Jelley. Is it possible for you to take a picture of his headstone (if there is one) and post it? Also, is there any indication of his wife buried in this cemetery? Thanks.
