Bio and Links
Bio Photo I like wandering through cemeteries wondering what stories the people there could tell.
When I was younger my grandfather would take my siblings and I to a local cemetery in Benicia, CA and put flags on the military markers.
With the help of my friend Terry, I have started to take pictures and helping him with photo requests.

Thank you Darla so much for taking the photo. Were you not able to find his 1st wife Aurelia?:

Aurelia Emma "Real" Orila Sides
Birth 12 Dec 1904 in Texas Death 9 May 1958 in , Orange, California USA

I wasn't aware he got remarried though, so I researched her, Velma S, and found he had remarried in 1960 in Nevada to Velma.

Grace Mabel Barton Patten
Thank you very much for adding a tombstone photo for Grace Mabel Barton Patten. Did you happen to notice if there was a male Patten buried next to her. His name is Harlan "Harlaus" Patten. He would be her son. Grace was divorced from her husband and raised the son alone.

Yes, that cemetery is very old. Anaheim is my hometown, although I no longer live there. My grandparents are buried in the Pioneer section of the cemetery. I am a historian and have a Facebook page "History of Anaheim" you are welcome to join. I have posted some things about past residents who are buried there. I also have a blog on Anaheim history I am building up. Thank you again for the photo.--

Thank you for taking the photo and finding her grave...so her headstone is missing? Did it sink under the ground? I am so curious...I saw that you noted the groundskeepers helped locate the grave. What did they say about it? Thanks again!

Thank you Darla for finding my Uncle. I see that no date is placed on his wife Kathleen. Could that mean she is buried somewhere else ? I am pretty sure that she passed in the 2000's but don't know where.

Your photo angle f the setting is also appreciated so that we can see where he is resting. Tom ~ Seattle

RE: Betty E. Carpenter, Santa Ana Cemetery
Thanks. Maybe she meant Bertha when she created the memorial. Hard to guess.
