Got in the habit of snapping tombstone photos wherever I go.
The funniest tombstone I ever saw had the inscription, "I told you I was sick."

|Derek Ennis Veal||Dr. Thomas Ennis Pugh|
Thank you for posting the photo of Thomas Ennis Pugh's grave. I posted a photo of him when he was a Surgeon in WW1.
I was wondering if he was related to you. He was my Grandfathers brother.

Thanks Jean. Best wishes.
|William P. Hartlage||W. Robert Abel - Abell|
Hello my friend. Hope you are doing well. I created a memorial #55274427 for William Robert Abell in St. William Cemetery a few months after you created your #49657290 for W. Robert Abel there. He was using the Abell surname spelling when he died in 1931. Would you consider changing the spelling in your memorial to Abell and using some of my bio? It is: William was a lifelong farmer and was unmarried. His death certificate listed the cause of his death as cerebral apoplexy, having onset about 5 weeks earlier.
He was buried in St. William Cemetery on November 30, 1931.
Please let me know what you think. I'll delete the duplicate then. Thanks.

Thanks Jean for transferring the Knuckey memorials at Highland Cemetery in Winfield, KS and also for your work in posting the pages and sharing gravestone pictures.
|larry knuckey||lafayette george knuckey|
My name is Larry Knuckey and I'm a genealogist in Topeka, KS but grew up in Winfield, KS.
I would like to offer a correction to you on your listing for Lafayette George Knuckey in Highland Cemetery in Winfield, KS.
The info you show is correct, including your notes on his parents, EXCEPT your listing of his mother Florence's maiden name as Ashland which is INCORRECT.
Her CORRECT maiden name is Oseland. Florence is the daughter of Moroni Oseland and Ambrosine Doughty Oseland.
Lafayette and wife Lillian are my paternal grandparents; Elmer George Knuckey and wife Florence Alice Oseland Knuckey are my great-grandparents and Moroni and Ambrosine are my 2g-grandparents.
I also would like to ask you if all of the Knuckeys listed in Highland Cemetery, who are all my direct relatives, can be transferred to me.
Some of them do not have birth/death dates nor pictures and I would like to add both to their listings in the future as well as possibly other pictures or info to all of them.
I appreciate your initial listings for the Knuckeys and your help in the correction above and their transfer to me.
|David Davis||Francis Long|
Jean, There was a very informative story in the Lawrence Journal World, (ljworld.com) dated 8-26-15, in the section "100 years ago today" that talked about Francis attending the University of Kansas, and how he died on his fathers farm in Madison, Kansas while putting up hay. Apparently a cable broke on some hay equipment causing an injury to the young man. They took him to the "German Hospital" in Kansas City, and he died at that location. Thought you might like to add this to your posting. Take care and good luck. Dave Davis
Thanks so much for the making the link that I requested.

Can you give me directions to Winkler Cemetery in Daviess County, KY? I have found several duplicates that include that cemetery and another one. I would like to see which graves are actually in Winkler
|Rochelle||Addie Lee White death date|
There is a memorial at Sardis Cemetery in Winston County, Mississippi, that you did for Addie Lee White. The memorial was probably done when her husband died. Anyway Mrs. White died a short time ago; please add a death date to her memorial. She died in Baton Rouge, La., on May 17, 2015.
