Welcome! Just to let you know, most of my family roots are in Kentucky; so, if related, I am more than happy to transfer the memorial pages I have created. I love to reunite families with their loved ones. If needed, feel free to use the photographs I have posted on Find A Grave for your personal ancestry documentation. If so inclined, you can always give credit for the source.
I stumbled upon the following poem and thought it was so succinct in describing why we do what we do. . .
THE RECORDING OF A CEMETERY
BY THELMA GREENE REAGAN
Today we walked where others walked
On a lonely, windswept hill;
Today we talked where others cried
For Loved Ones whose lives are stilled.
Today our hearts were touched
By graves of tiny babies;
Snatched from the arms of loving kin,
In the heartbreak of the ages.
Today we saw where the grandparents lay
In the last sleep of their time;
Lying under the trees and clouds -
Their beds kissed by the sun and wind.
Today we wondered about an unmarked spot;
Who lies beneath this hallowed ground?
Was it a babe, child, young or old?
No indication could be found.
Today we saw where Mom and Dad lay.
We had been here once before
On a day we'd all like to forget,
But will remember forever more.
Today we recorded for kith and kin
The graves of ancestors past;
To be preserved for generations hence,
A record we hope will last.
Cherish it, my friend; preserve it, my friend,
For stones sometimes crumble to dust
And generations of folks yet to come
Will be grateful for your trust.

While I understand the guidelines, it's never been an issue on my great grandmother's memorial over the name. However, I will change it. To me the names show the history of the person and a bio isn't just enough.

The photo shown is provided to the newspaper by the family. I am not sure if there is colored copy at the funeral home website or not. Neither Eva or Norman's obituary indicate which funeral home was used.
There is a nice copy of the marker photo at http://www.uscemeteryproj.com/oklahoma/oklahoma/memorialpark/highfilled.htm

Will Bridges Find A Grave 135782033 and Della Bridges Find A Grave 135781992 are NOT husband and wife. Would you please correct that. They were brother and sister. Will died right after his son Herman Arthur Bridges was born and his wife Amy Lewis remarried to a Swails. Please correct. I am working on this for Herman Bridges daughter. Thank you.

No problem! Have to admit I came across them all quite by accident yesterday when I was out walking!

Thanks for the info re duplicates. I will send them to the Find A Grave edit people for merging since my memorial has all the links to relatives and the other one doesn't. Thanks again for all your efforts.

Until we have a marriage record, we will not know if they are the same person.
