Bio and Links
Bio Photo I lost the love of my life 23 November 2015. We worked on this site together. Our daughter helps sometimes too.

PLEASE DO NOT ADD EDITS THAT ARE INCOMPLETE, for example, birthplace/death place is USA or just the state, also if you don't know the exact date for birth or death don't send just the month. PLEASE DO NOT ADD COPIES OF OBITUARIES IN PLACE OF A PICTURE ON MEMORIALS. I take the time to verify your info just to find you took it from a census or the SSDI. If you look at more than one census it often will have different months. Ancestry is NOT always correct. I look up obituaries and often find the person did not die where the SSDI says they did. People often die at a hospital, nursing home or out of state.

I don't mind transferring memorials outside of Find A Grave guidelines but I do mind when people demand transfers or are rude. PLEASE provide your connection, not just"they are a relative" With Ancestry.com having a link to Find a Grave I have had way too many requests like this. I prefer not to transfer outside of guidelines if you have not been a member of Find a Grave very long or don't ""pay it forward " on here, by this I mean adding names other than your relatives or only names from the newspaper and rarely or never adding photos. If I am related I will not transfer. PLEASE include your #. Adding memorials and pictures I have taken takes time as does making edits. No one is perfect!!!

PLEASE DO NOT TAKE PICTURES I HAVE POSTED AND ADD TO OTHER WEBSITES INCLUDING ANCESTRY.COM You can add the link without copying the picture.

We enjoy taking pictures, walking cemeteries and helping family find family they have been searching for. I am very appreciative that someone took the time to put an aunt and two uncles who died as babies onto Find A Grave. I would have never known where they were buried.

Gordon Frank
Hi,

Your Find A Grave Memorial# 118201798 for Gordon Frank of Greene County, Illinois, COULD be the same Gordon for which I have the following info:
Gordon Lee Frank son of Freeman and Verna Frank
(62268452 & 62268861 respectively) born 9-13-1929 in Greene County.
Married to Hazel Ford.
Brother of George Wesley Frank (# 49853822). Cited as still living in 2010 in George's obit.

Much of the Frank family is buried in Kane Cemetery of Greene County, IL.

Do you have an age of Gordon that might corroborate my proposed info above?
If so, please let me know and I'll fill these in as "edits" and forward them to you along with family links.

Gordon is my first cousin 2x removed on my mother's side.

Sincerely,
Barb Milster

John Herschel Hertel (ID # 104220402)
I left an earlier message asking you to transfer John and Mary Hertel's memorials to me. John and Mary were John Hershel Hertels' parents making him a great uncle to my wife.

I just found his published death notice in The Decatur Daily Herald on January 2, 1919. It states he 'died of diabetes, followed by an attack of influenza.'

If you want to, you can transfer his memorial to us too, if you decide to transfer the memorials for his parents.

My Find A Grave ID # is 48822065.

Thank you.

John William Hertel (ID # 104220467)
John was my wife's great grandfather. His and Mary Ellen's daughter Clara Mary Hertel married Chester Luther Clark. Chester and Mary were the parents of Clara Louise Clark (who is still living at age 92). Clara Louise Clark married Ralph Vaughn Clark (no relationship to Chester Clark's line of Clarks). Clara Louise Clark is my wife's mother.

I have created a number of memorials for other descendants of John and Mary (as well as many memorials for other relatives of my wife and my own families, plus many people who are not relatives).

Several of my wife's relatives have also been transferred to me to maintain.

You also created the memorial for John's wife Marry Ellen (Pierson) Hertel (ID # 104220680).

If you would not mind transferring the memorials for John and Mary to us to maintain, we would appreciate it.

My Find A Grave ID # is 48822065.

Tilford Waters & Lovina "Ina" McCracken Waters
It seems you have added Tilford Clark Waters to the Oak Hill Cemetery in Palmyra Illinois. He is in fact in Morgan County at the Waverly East Cemetery in Waverly (#107190802) along with his wife Lovina "Ina" (McCracken) Waters. (#107190800) This came to my attention because of the photo request for Oak Hill that had reported that the cemetery had no record of him or her. If you could please remove them from the Oak Hill Cemetery to stop further mis-information. Thank you. Caroline

William Edwin Shuler # 91828065
Hello, Thank you for taking the time and making the effort to make and keep up these memorials. There appears to be an error here. William is the husband of my third cousin, Rosa D. Schneeberger Shuler. On both of their pages a child Elizabeth D. Shuler is added, but she was born before William of Rosa were born. According to all the information I have they had two children born in 1900 and 1903. Thanks, Joanne

Dolly Whitehead Pope
Hello, I was wondering if you knew anymore about Dolly? I found an article on Newspapers.com showing a Dolly Pope who passed away in the home of one of my relatives...Peyton Keel. Peyton's brother(Jackson...my Great-Great Grand Father) was married to a Claudia Pope but I can't find the connection. Any Knowledge of this?
Thank you, Matthew Clark (mrmasc@gmail.com)
