In 2007, my wife and I returned to Shreveport, Louisiana, after a 30 year absence, during which we lived in Houston, Texas, and in northwest Arkansas. We have roots in south central Arkansas, around Hope, and south and central Louisiana, around Lone Pine, Centerville, Bayou Chicot, Ville Platte, Lafayette, and Lake Charles. We are both retired, my wife from teaching, and me from IT.

If we have added a memorial page for your family member or ancestor, and you want to take ownership of it, please let me know. Our goal is to document our history, not to own it.

Feel free to use any photos we have added. They have been added for your benefit and not for ours.

We are Margaret and Ron West.

RE: William Jesse Marvin Tilley
Thanks for posting the obit - this information is so helpful to researchers. His grandson, Gary Leighton Tilley married my cousin Dorothy Jean Ouzts. If you would like to transfer him to me, I'll take care of him until a closer family member comes along.

Thank you for fulfilling my Shrover Springs Cemetery request for ABT! I am grateful to have a picture of his grave stone for my family tree. I will be giving you the credit for the picture!

I also had 2 other request out at Shrover Springs Cemetery. They should have been with or near ABT as it was his wife, Parasidia Green Darwin Taylor 1850-1920 and their son, Ode Taylor 1883-1960. Wondering if you saw their grave stones as well?

RE: john edwards hussey
Thanks very much for the information on John Edwards Hussey. I have corrected the spelling of his middle name and added what information made sense (omitting a couple references to a particular photo). Very interesting information to have. I work for his former employer.

Find A Grave Memorial# 125906837

Though the cemetery is virtual, never the less the memorial remains a sacred remberence of a veteran.

The time spent sending three Find A Grave messages could have been better spent updating the memorial with the provided obit, to wit, to have shown honor, and respect in a veteran's cemetery!

Thank you so very much for the transfers! I really appreciate you taking the time to create the memorials. Sorry it took so long for me to get back to you. The holidays have kept me a bit busy. Again, thanks so much, I will take good care of them.

Thank you for leaving me a note.
I will be happy to help you search for what ever info you need on your Brister line. I sent you an email and hope it gets there.. The Brister/Bristow line is pretty well researched out, goes back quite a distance. I have been checking findagrave to locate My Great Grandparents grave sites to add them onto my Ancestry project.. John Brister is suppose to be in Drake Forks, and I was told that Elizabeth Matilda Hall Brister was buried out near Samuel Brister. But, neither one of their burial sites have been located, nor is there any form of documentation on their marriage or their deaths, quite odd but a reality..
