Mary E Lofollette Airhart
I am an Airhart decendent and was wondering if you had any information on Mary & Joseph's daughter Fern. Who did she marry, when did she pass, where is she buried, etc. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much! After I saw that post on Rootsweb, I had a feeling that Madison Dean Sr. was born Madison Johnson, but when I asked a distant relative who was big into genealogy, he said he had never heard of it. Would you happen to know where Jacob is buried at or if there's a memorial for him on here? I'm glad I finally know for sure that Jacob is Madison's biological father! My relation to Jacob would be:

Julie Dean > Dennis Dean > Hobart Dean > Willard Dean > Allen Dean > Madison Johnson/Dean Sr. > Jacob Johnson

Thanks so much!

Nancy Adeline H Ayers Dean (17741891)

I saw you had added the memorial for Nancy Ayers-Dean. I was wondering if you know if she had previously been married & widowed before marrying Hiram Harrison Dean? The reason I ask is because her son, Madison Dean Sr. is my 3x great-grandfather. On most of the research that I have done, it has always said that Hiram was Madison's father but on, I found where it said:

Although, he was born Johnson, it would appear that he adopted the surname DEAN and this is how he is found in census records of West Virginia

After finding that, I've been wondering if Madison Dean Sr.'s father is a man by the name of Jacob Johnson instead of Hiram Dean. Any information you could give me would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks you!

Julie Dean

I have always heard that my cousin was a pilot that was killed during WWII. His place of death is shown as California. What was his cause of death? Was he killed in action or the result of an accident? His brother still lives in Ft. Mill, SC, but I have not asked him. Thank you for any help.

I remember cousin Bessie LaFollette in Eagleville, Missouri. She was so sweet.

Ray LaFolette
My Mother, Marjorie (Maroney) McBride was Ray's sweetheart in Cainsville. I have his final letters to mother during his flight training before WWII. I remember visiting with "Aunt" Bessie LaFolette in Cainsville, or was it Eagleville, on our way to visit my grandmother, Elmo Reah (Brower) Maroney, in Bethany MO over the years. Ray's death changed my Mother forever and she never really got over losing that first love. She married my father and raised four daughters in Iowa but always carried a torch for him. I have many pictures of him. Let me know if you would like any sort of info I might have. I also have a quilt made from pieces from Aunt Bessie as well as some pieces that were never put into a quilt. I loved her house and her laugh. I think of Ray often and wish I could have met him and can not imagine the grief his passing caused his brother and family. Regards, Irene Ingraham

RE: James Henry LaFarlette
James had all of his children with his 1st wife Sarah Elizabeth Hardin, who died in 1906. He was in his 70's when he married Sally Martin. I don't know if she had any children by another husband. James and Sarah are my g-grandparents. Their son William Tom "Bill-Tom" married Belle Harris (2nd wife), their son, O'neal, is my father.
