Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been recording genealogy and family histories for approximately 40 years. This has always been an interest of mine--since childhood. I live on a piece of the old farm where I was born and my family has owned for generations. Several lines of my ancestors have been in this area of Southeast Georgia for over 200 years. I am a member of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution and the United Daughters of the Confederacy, both of which I am very proud.

I have been a member of Find A Grave for much longer than stated above. I was unable to access my old account and had to start anew. I've always enjoyed visiting old cemeteries, as well as old houses.

My husband, Larry, and I have published two pictorial history books: "Treutlen County, Georgia" in 2008 and "Montgomery County, Georgia" in 2010. These books can be purchased online at Arcadia Publishing Co. We enjoyed visiting people in these counties who invited us into their homes and allowed us to scan their precious family photographs.

N O T E:
Anything I post, photos or memorial biographies, may be copied and used for personal use as long as you give me credit, just as I personally do if I can find the source.

I welcome corrections and additions to my posts and will respond to all messages. This site is a wonderful tool, but it is only effective if those who post memorials will strive to place them in the correct cemeteries and will continue to maintain them.

I don't know if this is the Samuel you are looking for but I have a Samuel David Miller the son of Thomas and Nancy Vick Miller He married the sister of Andrews wife. Her name is Elizabeth Matilda Turner. They were married in Wilcox County Ga. They moved to Sale City, Mitchell County, Ga. and farmed, and dipped Turpin tine for many years. Then moved to Moultrie, Ga in there latter years. Elizabeth died in Moultrie, in 5 Nov. 1919. Samuel is suppose to be buried there also. I can't find his death certificate or any thing concerning his death. If you find any thing let me know. If this is your Samuel D Miller

RE: Verner Naomi McCullough Powell
Sorry I haven't responded to your notes. This cemetery is located between Twin City and Portal off of hwy 80 about 5 miles out of Portal. Do you know where Collins Lake is located it is on the road going to this lake. There is three counties close to this lake They are Emanuel, Bullock and Candler County. The Cemeteries address is Twin City but I do think they are in Bullock county they are 4 miles from the county line. I use to go there to buy whiskey, when I lived on the Lake, at that time Bullock was a dry county. Hope this help a little.

Mary T.~AKA ~poe~
Margaret Jane Galbreath McBride Tootle
Ok, I took the McBride out of the heading of her name since that was her first marriage as you requested in the edit so you wouldn't report me, again, to your "friends" at Find A Grave. Now I can wait for the next edit from someone else to request that I add it back because they can't find her when they search......thank you and have a nice day. Blessings.

Martha S Watson

Actually, My entry for Martha was Aug 11, 2011 and the one by Janet Howard was Oct 4, 2012. How is mine a duplicate?

Looks like maybe Janet Howard's entry might be the dup. Thanks for keeping me straight.

William Joseph Warnock
I have the correct parents linked to William Joseph Warnock. This is supported by family records and death certificates.

I've updated the memorial to cite and quote my source for her surname COMBS. I cannot find any other usage of that name outside of notices of her death. It is a mystery to me. If you have any info, please share. Thanks
