I am not a fan of the strict four-generation, direct-ancestor transfer rule. If I am managing memorials for people who are more closely related to you and your family than they are to me and my family, please use the edit tab to explain your relationship, and I will generally be happy to pass their memorials on to you. I am not out to horde memorials nor to compete to see how many memorials I can add. I try to place memorials where they belong "With Family"...!|
*****"PLEASE (Out of respect) do not post death certificates on any memorials I have "created" or "maintain" "THANK YOU"*****
I firmly believe that no one, no matter how "minor" he or she may have been, should EVER be forgotten.
I believe it is our duty to honor our ancestors, carry on their traditions, and never forget them. One way to do this is by visiting their resting place either in person or through their Memorials on Find A Grave.

Mary, the John H. Burrow in the memorial you have with Lulu as his wife is correct. But he wasn't related to James Wesley or Abraham Riley. It isn't the same John H. Burrow. My husband said that Abraham Riley is his great uncle. My husband's grandfather John Henry and Abraham Riley were brothers. There were only 7 kids that Buryman & Nancy had. The spelling for Berryman isn't correct. It was actually Buryman. My husband's father was Buryman Charles Burrow, he was named after his grandfather. My husband's oldest brother was also Buryman Charles. If you have a family tree on Ancestry I can help you. We have family photos of the "Burrow guys" on there. I have a family photo that shows about a dozen family members including Abraham Riley, Ed Burrow the Gressett's. I also have a photo of Buryman & Nancy. If you send me a message I can send you an invitation to view my family tree. Your husband & my husband would be 2nd or 3rd cousins. My email is on my home page if you want to send me a private email. I will gladly help you with any info we have. Linda

Thank you so much

Hi Mary how are you related into the Burrow family? I know what you mean about the computer crash. That happened to us about 4 yrs ago. We have been researching the Burrow family for about 10 yrs now and have managed to trace it back to 1620 when the 1st Phillip Burrow came from England. I know that each generation of the Burrow's had many kids. My DH is #10 of 12 in his family. I will contact the other person who uploaded this into. If I can help you with any Burrow info please don't hesitate to ask. Our son is in the process of doing the DNA testing through Ancestry.com. We are anxious to see what that shows up. Thanks again for getting back to me. I appreciate it. Have a good day. Linda

Hi Gale, I am writing to you in regard to memorial #65799983 for John H. Burrow on Findagrave. On there you have a photo of a head stone for John H. Burrow who was married to Lulu Burrow. He was NOT the son of Berryman (Buryman) C. Burrow & Nancy Ransom. Their son was named John Henry Burrow, he was my husbands grandfather. He was born in 1863 also but he died in 1926. His wife was Olive Baldridge. The headstone you have listed belongs to John H. Burrow whose parents were Elizabeth Troxler & F.T. Burrow. He was not related to Abraham Riley, Amanda Catherine nor James Wesley Burrow. They are siblings to John Henry Burrow who is our relative. Can you please go in and correct the memorial? Thanks so much Linda Purvis Burrow
This is the info I copied from Ancestry.com in the SS death information.

Other than that he and LeeRoy were listed in an orphan's home in Tilman Oklahoma in 1930 and 1940, the only other thing I (think) I find on him is some "Public Record" information with addresses for him in Bradenton, FL.
Yesterday, I also found a TX birth certificate for a SAM Templeton, son of IJ and Mary Templeton, DOB 9/9/19, which is one day later than Joe Hayes Templeton gives on his Draft Registration form. I have a note in my file that there is a Delayed Birth Record for Joe Hayes Templeton, but I don't have a copy which makes me believe I got the info from a book with those records at the Texas State Library many years ago.
I also find "public record" residence information for him in Hearne, Texas, and in Bradenton, Florida.
Any of this familiar to you?

I've submitted Find A Grave links for her to her parents, to Isaac Jasper Templeton and even to Ernest Poer.
Do you have information on the death of their son, Joe Hayes Templeton? DOB 8 Sept 1919
|Janis Templeton Trayler||Mary Elizabeth Warren Templeton Poer|
Have you found her yet? Look for death certificate under the name of Mary E. POER in Runnels County. She died in 1975! ... her daughter Louise Andrews was the informant on her death certificate, so I'm confident this is Isaac Jasper Templeton's wife. I've thought for many years that she and Jasper divorced and she remarried.
Find-a-Grave memorial 55553631.
Hope this helps with your research.

I've researched Old Southland Cemetery and Southland Memorial Cemetery and believe (in Find A Grave) the entire cemeteries should be listed under one roof.
I walked the cemetery for requests one day and could tell the cemeteries used to be separate cemeteries, they still have a chain fence between the two that you have to drive around.
I found Clara's record grave at the 1205 address vs. the 1100 address and 1205 has the earlier burials along with the state marker which leads me to believe she is buried in "Old Southland Cemetery" which is now called Southland Memorial Park.
If you would like, I will remove my addition.
Thank you - Jenn
