Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am retired and enjoy working on genealogy as a hobby. I have a masters degree from the University of Oklahoma and I'm using my research skills to hunt down my ancestors.
www.findagrave.com is a terrific web site.
My ancestors include but are not limited to:
Allison, Campbell, Morris, Johnson, Holdsworth, Baird, Kirkpatrick, Phillippi, Worley, Sweeney, Vaught, Watson, Dale, Wheeler, Hoyt, Newman

I make an effort to connect husbands, wives and families using obituaries and census records.

As many of you know, I have spent hours taking photos in the Rose Hill Cemetery in order to create memorials. I also do research in the Oklahoma Historical Society Library for some of my memorials.

Member: Oklahoma Historical Society, National Trust for Historic Preservation, Civil War Trust, Friends of Mt Vernon, Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, National Women's History Museum, Pulaski Co KY Historical Society, Cornerstone Genealogical Society (PA), Morrow Co OH Genealogical Society, Osborne Co KS Historical Society.

Use the "Suggest a Correction" feature on the appropriate memorial to submit information or any requests. I follow the Find-A-Grave guidelines regarding the transfer of memorials. Any transfer requests should only be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

T. is actual Martha McCuddy according to the headstone. I'm guessing that no one changed the name when she died and it stayed in the name of the plot purchaser. I have put in a request to have this changed to Martha's name.

Joseph Tipton Cochran
Memorial # 131448747. His half brother, James Neal Cockrum, is in my sister's line.

Oklahoma Marriages @Familysearch.org - Joseph Cockrum & Cordelia Jones were married 16 October 1901, Newkirk, Oklahoma. He was age 20, born Kansas, parents were C.T. Cockrum & Cordelia Brooks. She was age 19, born Kansas, parents not given.

This gives the maiden name for his wife.

Thanks,

Wilkinson plot - Kettle Creek Cemetery
We added the requested photos for both James and Delila Wilkinson at Kettle Creek Cemetery in Waycross, Ware, Georgia. I did want to let you know that Mr. Wilkinson is buried on the left in 3 distinct plots that are outlined, but only his is marked. We made a photo of the other two, and didn't know if these would be of interest to you. If they are, just let me know, and we'll e-mail it to you, along with a full length photo of Mr. Wilkinson's plot,if you desire. If you would like picture of all 3 together, we can do that as well. Mrs. Wilkinson's stone is badly damaged, but legible. We were very sorry to see that had happened.

Elizabeth and William Allison
Do you know if they are buried in an Allison plot? Do they have other relatives in Mt. Royal?
Please let me know and I'll continue to check.
Ruth
